Vertical Blooms Missing You Card. Creative Colour Challenges #CCC102

Today's card was made for this week's Creative Colour Challenges #102. The colours are just fabulous - Gorgeous Grape, Pretty Peacock and Lemon Lolly are a lovely mix and I went bold and busy with a design - I just love the Vertical Blooms stamp set is just so pretty.

Measurements

Gorgeous Grape Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Lemon Lolly Card Stock

1pc - 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 5 3/8" x 3 5/8"

1pc - scrap

Take the Gorgeous Grape card stock and fold along the score  line to create your card base. Add the largest piece of Basic White to the inside.

Using the leaves and small flowers images create a bold background mat on the remaining piece of Basic White. I used Pretty Peacock for the leaves and I alternated Gorgeous Grape and Lemon Lolly Flowers.

Layer this panel to the Lemon Lolly Card Stock and add to the centre of the card front.

Stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink onto some scrap Basic White Card, then add the flourish border around it. I used both Gorgeous Grape and Lemon Lolly. Very carefully fussy cut to create a neat border around the edge. Very very lightly add some Pretty Peacock ink to the edges with a blending brush  - you only want a tiny bit of colour to make the sentiment stamp out a little over the background. 

Add this sentiment to the card front using dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed my card today - it was ridiculously easy, with great results. And although this works really well with this combo, I can see it working for lots of other colourways too.
