Thinking of You Kintsugi Inspirations Card. Stamping with Friends Blog Hop - August 2025

 Good Evening Everyone,

It's been a while, but I'm so happy to be back hopping with the fabulous Stamping with Friends group.

This Hop is Blogger's Choice - so anything goes. I've opted for a simple layout to showcase the beautiful Kintsugi Inspirations DSP. It's lovely colours and gold foil detail makes this so special.

Do you know that the art of Kintsugi originated in Japan and is a technique used to repair broken pottery with gold or other precious metals. It embraces imperfections and finds beauty in the mended cracks rather than trying to hide them. I must say, Stampin' Up! have nailed it with this paper and truly captured the essence of the technique.

I've used a couple of layers of the DSP and cut out some of the vases, adding the sentiment from Beautiful Motifs to finish it off.

what do you think?

Measurements

Misty Moonlight Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Scrap

Kintsugi Inspirations DSP

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 3 3/4" x 2 7/8"

3 vases cut from the DSP

------------------------------------

Take the Misty Moonlight card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the Basic White piece to the inside.

Add the two pieces of DSP to the card front, centering the smaller piece over the larger mat.

Stamp the sentiment onto a strip of Basic White in Mist Moonlight ink, trim and give angled edges.

Arrange the three vases onto the centre panel, leaving enough room for the sentiment below.

I added the two larger vases with liquid glue, and popped the smaller vase onto dimensionals. The sentiment piece was also pooped up on dimensionals.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - I really enjoyed playing about with this paper.

Please take a few minutes to continue through the hop to get a huge amount of inspiration from this talented group.

Storybook Moments Thank You Card. Project Share Blog Hop August 2025

  Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Saturday! Today I'm taking part in the Project Share Blog Hop.

You will have probably seen that we do a share every Thursday - in which we showcase a project the other three crafters of the group have made, but once a month we get together and all create a brand new project around a theme and do a little blog hop. This month we have a fabulous sketch layout.

I love working with sketches, its a great way to help get that creative juice flowing, or push you to design in a way you wouldn't normally think of. You can use the sketch as is and create exctaly like the format, as I have done today, but it's also a good starting point to guide you and just give a little inspiration.

Using the Storybook Moments DSP and the pre cut images I've made a sweet Thank You card.

Measurements

Pecan Pie Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 2 1/4" x 4"

Basic Beige Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2 1/8" x 3 7/8"

Storybook Moments DSP

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

3pc - 1/2" x 3"

-------------------------------------

Take the Pecan Pie card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the larger piece of Basic Beige to the inside and the larger piece of DSP to the card front.

Ink up the sentiment from Beautiful Motifs in Pecan Pie and stamp along the top of the remaining piece of Basic Beige then layer onto the remaining piece of Pecan Pie

Adhere the three thin strips of DSP to the larger piece of DSP, spacing evenly - making sure that they will sit well under the top panel, then glue that down on top.

Take the flower die cut and glue down flat with liquid glue, then add the cup image with dimensionals.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - I really loved creating it.

Please take a few minutes to continue through the hop - these ladies are super talented and I cannot wait for you to see how they have interpretated this sketch.

Mixed Media Florals Thank You Card. We Fall In Colours - August 2025

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

I'm taking part in the We Fall In Colour August Blog hop and we have Pool Party, Poppy Parade and Pumpkin Pie are our colours. I love this fresh bright mix and I thought that I'd use the Mixed Media Florals Bundle.

What do you think?

Measurements

Basic Black Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"

scrap

Poppy Parade Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x  3 7/8"

-------------------------------

Take the Basic Black Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding one of the Basic White piece to the inside.

One the remaining piece of basic white stamp the floral cluster twice along the long side.  Colour in using Poppy Parade, Pool Party and Pumpkin Pie blends.

Layer this to the Poppy Parade card and then add to the centre of the card front.

On a scrap of basic white stamp the sentiment, banner and some ladybugs, colour cut out using the coordinating die and the using your stampin write marker in black, colour the edge of the die cut up to the stamped line - this gives the illusion of a mat layer without the bulk.

Add this to the top of the card front with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed my card today - I really loved playing with this colour combination.

Please take a few minutes to continue through the hop, Simone is up next.
