Floral Essence Bright and Bold Happy Birthday Card. Zoom Crafting Colour Challenge

 Good Morning Everyone,

As you know Donna, Karen and myself have become incredibly great friends, only brought together by Stampin Up and it's great community. We all lead very different lives in different parts of the UK, so without Stampin Up we would never have crossed paths. I am truly thankful for the whole community SU has and for my closest friends . We chat everyday, and every so often we will do a Zoom Craft Evening. We will all have stuff that we want to be making but we just have have the laptops on and natter away as we craft. We have started doing a colour challenge, we each pick a colour at random and then we have to create a project with them.

So we had a crafty session  a week or so ago and here's the card I created...

From these colours we had chosen, which is 100% right up my street!

Measurements

Basic Black Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored st 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Magenta Madness Card Stock

1pc - scrap for the sentiment

Fold your  Basic Black Card Stock along the score line and add one of the Basic White pieces to the inside.

On the remaining panel stamp the solid flower images all over in Pacific Point, Bumble Bee and Magenta Madness ink, add the centres in different colours. Once dry add to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from Fancy Phrases in Pacific Point ink onto a scrap of Magenta Madness card stock, then cut this out using the rectangular postage punch.

Add this to the bottom right hand side of the card front.

Happy Birthday Rubber Band Technique Gift Box. Team Challenge Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I wanted to share this fun project with you. Within our Team, we set weekly challenges to keep everyone motivated and encourage that mojo to stay around. Themes have been submitted by all team members.

This week Bec through this challenge into the ring - Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue.

I really had to think about this one, but I'm really happy with how it have turned out.

Something Old - I used the Tailored Tag Punch

Something New - The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from a Brand New Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set.

Something Borrowed - So I decided to use Rubber Bands for the stamping which I 'borrowed' from the office.

Something Blue - I used a selection of Blue inks.

Measurements

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 11 3/4" x 8 1/4" - (1 full sheet of A4)

1pc - scrap for the sentiment

Balmy Blue Card Stock

1pc - scrap for the sentiment

Take a clear block and wrap some rubber bands around it.

Now use this as a stamp, ink it up and cover the A4 sheet of card stock. Start with the lightest colour and build up layers as you get through to the darker colours.

Once the ink has dried pop the card stock into your simply scored and score as follows:-

Long Side - 1/2", 2 1/2", 9 1/4" & 11 1/4"

Short Side 2", 4", 6", 8"

Fold and burnish all the score lines. then cut away at the card stock so you get a shape like this.

Use a small circle punch to add a couple of thumb notches as above. Run some adhesive along the 1/2" tab on the left and fold round to make the card 3D. fold in both sides and tuck in.

Stamp the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink onto a scrap of basic white and cut out using the tailored tag punch. cut a tag shape from a scrap of balmy blue card stock, cut this down the middle and add to the sentiment piece, making sure you show a nice border of the blue behind the basic white.

Finally add this to the top of the box using dimensionals.

Basket of Blooms Thank You Card. International Project Highlights February 2021

 Good Evening Everyone,

Today I am taking part in Kylie's International Blog Hop. Each month papercrafters from all over the world join together and add projects to a gallery all with the Thank You Theme. then people get a chance to vote. The top ten then get to take part in a special blog hop.

Here's the card I made, using the Thank You sentiment from Ornate Thanks to create a background for my bright Basket of Blooms.

I would love it if you would take just a couple of minutes to head over and place a vote for me, I would be thrilled to be able to join in with this Month's Winners Hop.

Measurements

Gray Granite Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - scrap for the basket

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Magenta Madness Card Stock

Scraps for the Flowers

Just Jade Card Stock

Scraps for the Leaves

Take the Gray Granite card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Then add one of the Basic White pieces to the inside.

On the remaining Basic White Card Stock stamp the thank you sentiment in Gray Granite ink all the way down the panel. Add this to the card front.

Take the small and slightly larger blooms from the Basket of Blooms Stamp Set and stamp in Magenta Madness ink onto scraps of the same colour card. Fussy cut the smaller blooms and cut out the larger ones with the small bloom punch. Stamp a selection of the leaves in Just Jade onto scraps of Just Jade cardstock and fussy cut as well.

Create the basket by stamping it in Basic Gray ink onto a scrap of Gray Granite card stcok and fussy cut out. Add this basket to the centre of the card front with dimensionals, just a couple at the bottom of the basket. Now take to flowers and leaves and 'fill' up the basket. I used a combination of liquid glue a glue dots to adhere mine down - overlapping in some places to create a fuller looking basket.

Finally add Pearls to the centres of all the flowers.
