Peony Garden Birthday Wishes Card. #33Sketches No2

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Thursday, we are so close to the weekend, I can smell it!

Today is the second instalment of my #33sketches series and what a pretty card I have for you. I've used the sweet and soft Peony Garden DSP which I absolutely adore.

Here's the sketch I followed, this lady is American, so I have had to adjust the measurements slightly as here in the UK we work to slightly different sized cardstock.

Measurements

Peony Garden DSP
1pc - 5 3/8" x 3 3/4"
1pc - fussy cut Peony

Gray Granite
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"
1pc - 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
1pc - 2 1/2" x 3 /4"

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"
1pc - 1/2" x 2 1/4"

Take your Gray Granite Cardstock and fold along the score line and add the whisper white panel to the inside.

Take the piece of DSP and cut on the short side at 1 1/2". Then cut each strip at 1 3/4" from the top. Place these on the card front, making sure you leave a nice even border around all the sides. Also, pay attention to the pattern on the paper and make sure you adhere the pieces down so the pattern continues across the card front.

Fussy cut a Peony from another piece of the DSP and adhere this to the centre of the whisper white square, layer this onto the square piece of gray granite and add to the card.

Finally stamp the sentiment onto the remaining piece of whisper white and layer onto the gray granite and add below the flower.

Artistry in Bloom Happy Birthday Card. #33Sketches No1

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are well.

So I'm starting an exciting series today, which will normally run every Tuesday & Thursday where I will follow a sketch challenge to create a card. It's a challenge of 33 sketches that Myself Donna and Karen are all doing because as I'm sure you've noticed, we love to challenge ourselves.

So here is my card for sketch No 1

The artistry in bloom dsp contains a rainbow of colours and different texture designs which made it perfect for my card to provide that interest it needed without going overboard, and this sketch is a grwat way to use up some scraps!

Measurements
As this original sketch is from a lady in USA, who work with cardstock if a slightly different to us here in the UK, I've amended the measurements slightly.

Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4" scored at 5 7/8"

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc- 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc- 1/2" x 2 3/4"

Artistry in Bloom DSP
1pc - 5 5/8 x 3 7/8"
1pc - 2 1/8" x 2 1/8"
1pc - 3 5/8" x 2 3/8"

Garden Green Cardstock
1pc- 3 7/8" x 2 3/8"

Coastal Cabana Cardstock
1pc - 2 3/8" x 2 3/8"

Fold the rich razzleberry cardstock along the score line and add the whisper white panel to the inside. Add the largest piece of DSP to the front.

Layer up the squares and rectangles and arrange onto your card.

Stamp the sentiment onto the whisper white strip and add below your dsp panels. Place a rhinestone at either side of the Happy Birthday!

This card is all about layers, so once you have cut all your pieces, it really comes together so quickly!

Basket of Blooms Thank You Gate Fold Card. Kylies International Blog Hop

Good Evening Everybody

I hope you are all well. Today I am joining in with the Kylie's International Blog Hop, where a whole host of crafters are sharing Thank You Cards. The idea behind this hop is that you can vote for your favourite cards and then they can join in a winners blog hop!!

I Decided to go bright and bold using some bold stripes and Poppy Parade flowers in my Basket!!

Measurements

Basic Gray Cardstock
1pc - 11" x 6"
1pc - 2 7/8" x 3 7/8"

Flowers for Every Season DSP
2pc - 2 5/8" x 5 7/8"
1pc - 5 7/8" x 5 3/8"

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 4 7/8" x 4 3/8"
1pc - 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
scraps for flowers and basket

Take your piece off 11"x 6" basic gray cardstock and score at 2 3/4" & 8 1/4". fold on the score lines, towards the centre. so you fold from the left and fold from the right to form your 'gate'. make sure these line up perfectly and burnish well.

On the inside, add the largest piece of DSP to the back panel, and centre the whisper white to the top.

close the 'gate' and add the two rectangular strips of DSP to each side.

Stamp some of the flowers in Poppy Parade onto scrap whisper white cardstock and cut out using the small bloom punch. also stamp the basket in basic gray and fussy cut.

stamp the Thank You sentiment from Free as a bird along the bottom of the whisper white piece that remains. Then layer this onto the last piece of basic gray.

Place the basket just above the sentiment, I used glue dots so that it was secure, but it all wasn't stuck down, this helped when arranging all the flowers in the basket - it meant that I could tuck bit under with no problem. I also cut a couple of the petals to add some filling to the basket. Add a metallic pearl to all the flower centres you can see,

Add dimensionals to this panel, but make sure you only cover the left half. if you go any further across you run the risk of sticking in all closed! add this to the card front, paying attention to those diemnsionals on the back

A Whale of a Time It's Your Day Gift Bag. Share it on a Sunday

Good Morning Everyone,

It's Sunday, so you know what that means?? That's right, it's Share it on a Sunday. Donna, Karen and myself have a challenge to all follow. This week we had to make a gift bag from a sheet of 6x6 DSP

Here's the bag I made. It measures 4" x 2 1/2" x 1" so a really good size to hold lots of different goodies.

Measurements

A whale of a Time DSP
1pc - 6x6"
Fussy cut whale and two turtles
Thin scrap for the clip

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - scrap for the sentiment

Take the DSP and with the direction of the paper facing the correct way, score at 1" & 5". Then turn 90 degrees and score at 2 1/2" & 3 1/2".

Fold and burnish all the score lines, then cut up the score lines and either side of the squares and notch in slightly.

Next, add tear and tape, again if you are using a directional pattern you will need topat attention to where it flows. The pattern should be facing to the right.

Remove the release paper and stick the tabs to the panels with adhesive on the outside, the fold the other pieces round.

Gently tease in the sides and pinch in the top. You may have to pinch the edges a bitto get the right shape as the sides are two pieces thick. Secure the top closed with a mini clip (these aren't SU. They were randomly on my desk). Add a thin strip of dsp to the two sides and top make it coordinate.

Now, stamp the sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays in pacific point onto a scrap and add to the bottom of the bag, then arrange the fussy cut creatures into the rest of the space.

Your Kindness has touched my Heart Bloom & Grow Greeting Card

Good Afternoon everyone,

Happy Saturday, hope you all have some fantastic things planned for your weekend. We aren't doing much. Household jobs, nice long walk and if I can swing it, a few hours in the craft room!!

Today I have a fab card to share. Simple stamping and laying adds all the interest. The Bloom and Grow stamp set is such a great set to use as it has some Lovely smaller images which worked perfectly here. Finished with the sentiment from Path of Petals.

Measurements

Granny Apple Green Cardstock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Poppy Parade Cardstock
1pc - 4 1/4" x 2 7/8"

Night of Navy cardstock
1pc - 3 1/2" x 1 7/8"

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 3 1/8" x 1 3/8"

Fols the Granny Apple Green Cardstock along the score line and add the large whisperwhite panel to the inside. Close the cars base and stamp the floral image all the way around the edge in Granny Apple Green ink.

Stamp the floral cluster on Poppy Parade ink all over the Poppy Parade Cardstock, then repeat this with the night of navy ink and cardstock

Layer these all together and add to the card front.

Finally stamp the sentiment from Path of Petals in Night of Navy ink, onto the remaining piece of whisper white then add this to the card front.

I told you it was super simple, and you could take any colours and small inage stamps and recreate this in a whole different look.

Posted For You Just a Note Notecards

Good Evening Everyone,

I hope you are all well. I can't believe it is Thursday already, this week is just flying by.

Today I want to share with you the most simplest card ever, but it's so pretty!

I make a lot of Thank You cards each month for my Stampin Up Customers and also my Avon Customers, so I had a lot of 4x4" envelopes lying around, which I cannot recall where they came from or why I have them! haha. So I decided to create some small notecards to go inside them, this is a great way to use minimal supplies and use up some of those scraps.

Cut your whisper white cardstock to 4" x 8" and score at 4" to create the note card. You can get 4 cards from one sheet of 12x12.

Now on some scraps of whisper white, stamp the bird and branch image in memento, colour with blends then punch out using the Rectangular Postage Punch.

Cut cardstock to 1 1/2" x 2 1/8" and layer the punch out on top. Add this panel to the left hand side of the card.

Stamp the sentiment to the right.

Like I said, these are so quick and simple to make but look fabulous.
