Good Afternoon Everyone,
Happy Monday! Today I'm sharing a card I've made for the current Inspire Create Challenge - #163 which is a colour challenge. I love this combination of Pretty Peacock, Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Freesia.
I've used lots of layer to create my background interested and added the detailed die cut and sentiment from the Sentimental Park bundle to create my focal point.
What do you think?
Measurements
Pretty Peacock Card Stock
1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" scored at 4 1/8"
1pc - scrap
Basic White Card Stock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 4 3/8" x 3"
1pc - scrap
Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock
1pc - 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"
Fresh Freesia Card Stock
1pc - 5" x 3 5/8"
----------------------------------------------------------------
Take the Pretty Peacock card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.
On the smaller piece of Basic White stamp the flower all over in Fresh Freesia ink. I used 1st Generation for the outline and 2nd Generation (stamped off once) for the solid in fill to create a slightly lighter tone.
Also stamp out two flowers on a scrap of Basic White. I chose to fussy cut these as I didn't want a white edge around them, but you could use the coordinating die if you would prefer.
Layer this piece along with the Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Freesia card stock onto the front of the card, offsetting the pieces and making then a little wonky.
Bring in your Mini Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine and cut out the Detailed Label in Pretty Peacock and the straight label in Basic White.
Stamp the sentiment into the centre of the Basic White die cut and then layer this to the detailed die cut. If you look closely to the detailed piece, there's two 'slits' where you can tuck the white piece into.
Add dimensionals to the back and place into the centre of the card front.
Pop a Rhinestone into the centre of the two fussy cut flowers and add these to the sentiment panel.
I really enjoyed playing around with this colour combination. If you would like more details on how the challenge works, have a project to enter or would just like to see some more inspiration from the Design Team and other participants - then head over to the Inspire Create Challenge Blog
