Sentimental Park 2x2x2" Cube For You Gift Box.

 Good Afternoon Everyone

I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend so far, we had a glorious day yesterday and spent the afternoon in the Garden, and we have just got back from a day out to Shibden Park which was lovely! Doesn't the sunshine just make you feel so much better haha!

Today's project is one that I've made lots of times before. A 2x2x2" box is so useful for all sorts of gifts. Crafty Karen Designs has started a series called Two for Tuesdays, and inspired me to created two of the same boxes but in two different shades of Pink - that and i'll be honest two look better in the photo! haha.

I created my own DSP using the flower from Sentimental Park - which, because the Basic White squares are only small, it works perfectly!

Measurements - I'll just give measurements for the Flirty Flamingo box as both are identical except for colour

Flirty Flamingo Card Stock

1pc - 8 1/2" x 6 1/2"

Basic White Card Stock

5pc - 1 7/8" x 1 7/8"

Scraps

------------------------------------

Take your piece of Flirty Flamingo Card stock and score as Follows:-

Long Side - 2", 4", 6" & 8"

Short Side - 2", 4" & 6"

Fold and burnish all the score lines, the take you snips and cut away to create a shape like this...

Take the 5 pieces of Basic White and create your floral background. I used 1st Generation Flirty Flamingo for the outline and 2nd Generation stamping (stamped off once) for the infill. Also stamp a flower on a scrap and fussy cut.

Adhere these pieces to the Flirty Flamingo card stock, four pieces running along the centre and one on the top - this one on the top create your lid, so if you are using directional stamps or DSP, it will need to be stuck upside down as you look at the flat card - this way once built it will be the right way round

Add tear and tape to the thin rectangular tab on the left and fold round. Then at the bottom fold in the sides, back and then adhere down the front to create your base. Fold your lid over and tuck in to close. The mitered edges on the tab will help it close smoothly.

Finally, on a scrap of Basic white stamp the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo and trim, layer to some Flirty Flamingo and trim down to leave a thin border. Add this and the fussy cut flower to the lid with dimensionals and pop a rhinestone into the centre of the flower.

Here's a list of supplies I used in today's project, click on the images to head over to my online store Product List
