Sweet Symmetry Life is Better with Friends Like You Decorated Notepads. Share it on a Sunday

 Good Morning Everyone,

This week for our Share it on a Sunday theme we have to Decorate Notepads. This Challenge came at the right time, because as you may know I like to have a stack of these sat ready the give or gift away for all sorts of reasons, and my pile was getting low!! haha.

I made a few different styles with different DSP pieces, mainly retired paper I needed to use up - but I did make a handful of these which use the Sweet Symmetry DSP and these were far too cute not to share!

Measurements - now I don't normally work in cms but the measurements just wouldn't work in inches, so here goes...

Large Notepad - The card stock does not cover all of the back side of the notepad

Bumblebee Card Stock

1pc - 22.3cm x 10.8cm, scored at 15cm & 16.3cm

Sweet Symmetry DSP

1pc - 15cm x 8.5cm

Small Notepad

Calypso Coral Card Stock - The card stock covers the full length of the back of the notepad

1pc - 22.2cm x 7.7cm, scored at 10.5cm & 11.5cm

Sweet Symmetry DSP

1pc - 7.5cm x 10.5cm

Take the card stock and burnish the score lines well. look at the skinny rectangle in the centre - the bigger section to the sides look pretty much the same but one side is slightly larger, only by a few mm, this piece needs to be the front, that extra couple of mm give you a leading edge to make it easier to open the notepad.

Add adhesive to what will be the back piece and add your notepad.

Adhere the DSP to the front.

Stamp the sentiment from Flowers of Friendship stamp set and cut out using a punch, the cut another of the same shape in card stock, cut this piece in half and add to the back to the stamped piece, making sure your edges are even. Add this to the front of the note pad.

I have kept the decoration of these pretty simple for two reasons - firstly I wanted to show off this beautiful DSP and show you don't always need to go mad with processes to get a fab result. Secondly, These will be destined for a few ladies' handbags, so there's less fuss on the front.
