Merry Christmas Snowflakes Card - Perpetual Christmas Card Club

Good Morning Everyone,

Now don't go mad with me, there is method in me sharing a Christmas card so early. I am part of the admin team for a group of Facebook called The Perpetual Christmas Card Club. A theme is set each week and member create a card around that theme.

It was set up to encourage people to make a card a week throughout the year, meaning that closer to the time, you do not feel overwhelmed with the amount of cards you need to make. It will also help you have a great variety of cards to give. It's a fun group to be a part of.

Anyway, enough of me babbling on.... Here's my card.

Measurements:-

Shaded Spruce Cardstock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 3 1/2" x 5 1/4"
1pc - 1 1/4" x 2 1/2"

Vellum
1pc - 3 1/2" x 5 1/4"

Real Red Cardstock
1pc - 1 3/8" x 2 5/8"

Create a card base from the shaded spruce card stock, and add the whisper white panel to the inside of the card.

Rub your embossing buddy over the vellum and then stamp the snowflakes over it all in versamark ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and gently tap off the excess powder. Run you heat gun over the powder and wait for it to melt. Be careful not to curl the vellum too much  otherwise it won't sit well on the card front - if this happens, hover the heat tool over the back of the vellum and this should help straighten it out for you.

Once cooled, add snail to the back of the vellum behind all the snowflakes. I used the Snow is Glistening Stamp Set which is a retired SU stamp set, but you could really use any image. As you can see though vellum, you can tend to see adhesive, although it's quite clear, so adding it behind the images helps it stay put without being seen.

Add to lengths of ribbon on a slight diagonal, then add to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment in shaded spruce on the whisper white, layer up onto the real red and add to the card front, over the ribbon.

Here's a list of all the supplies I used today, click on the images to head over to my online store, where you can purchase any of the current items (Stamp Set and Ribbon are retired).

Thanks for joining me today, if you get a spare moment - why not pop over to The Perpetual Christmas Card Club and take a peek at all the fun to be had over there!!

See you Soon
