Layering Love Quote Frame

Todays project isn't a card, it's a frame which I intend to gift to a friend. Projects like this really show the versatility of Stampin Up products - it's not just card making, it's so much more.

How did I do it? Here's How:

The rustic looking frame came from The Range, they have a lot to chose from, varying in size and price. This was a couple of quid.

Take a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock that has been cut to 6x4in and using the flourish stamp from Flourishing Phrases stamp set and Old Olive ink, cover just less than half of the cardstock.

Take a second piece of Very Vanilla measuring 3 x 1 3/4in and stamp the sentiment from Layering Love stamp set in Berry Burst ink. Sponge the edges using Berry Burst and adhere towards the right hand side. 

Using your water colour pencils, colour in the flowers and scatter rhinestones onto the flourishes.

Lastly, on a scrap of Very Vanilla take the butterfly stamp from Garden in Bloom stamp set and stamp the outline in Fresh Fig ink, and fill in using berry burst stamping off once for the full  stamp and once for the smaller stamp. Fussy cut and add a line of rhinestone onto the body, then stick above the flourishes.

Place the cardstock into the frame, secure the back and you are all done!

Half Full Happy Birthday Card

As soon as I saw this Half Full stamp set in the catalogue I knew I had to have it!  I'm not going to lie - I love wine and I love to stamp so this was the ideal set for me!! I have had so much fun playing around with this and this is one of those sets where I will use every single stamp.

So, here's my project for today:-

How did I do it? Here's How:-

Take a piece of Whisper white cardstock which measures 8 1/4in x 6in, scored at 4 1/8in. Stamp the wine bottle all over the front of the card using basic black archival ink.

Using a scrap of whisper white and the same black ink stamp the large sentiment image and using watercolour pencils and a blender pen colour in the grapes. Fussy cut and use the 1/8th handheld circle punch to create a tag. Through the hole feed some ribbon ( I used retired ribbon, sorry) and secure this with a whisper white bakers twine bow.

Cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock to 2 3/4in x 3 3/4in and place centrally on the card base using liquid glue. Using the basic black ink and the thoughtful banners stamp set Stamp Happy birthday in the lower right hand corner. Take the tag you created and using dimensionals, adhere to the Rich Razzleberry at an angle.

Finally take the large wine glass and stamp on the inside of the card, colour in the wine using the watercolour pencils, blend and you are done!

Hello & Welcome to My Brand New Blog

Hello & Welcome to My Brand New Blog.

For a long time I have sat on an evening and surfed pinterest, watched YouTube tutorials and read a load of blogs on crafting. I have been an avid crafter for many years and as you will find out I have a tendency to chatter away so I thought why not put it to good use. I thought, yeah I can do this too, surely? Can't I?

I currently work full-time and live with my boyfriend of many years in Huddersfield with our doggy Tess. We enjoy walking, eating out and socialising with friends and going on nice holidays together. Dave is an avid golfer and plays the guitar, but my passion lies in Crafting, I couldn't think of anything better than being able to craft all day everyday forever. I use as much of my spare time as possible to craft and I recently joined Stampin Up as a Hobby Demo and am now hoping to grow. It was now time to bite the bullet and start up a blog! This week I have been working hard on setting up goals, putting into writing what I want to achieve and how I am going to get there! It's going to be hard work, but I'm up for the challenge. I have made some amazing crafty friends already in the short time I have done this and I am so excited to meet so many more of you.
