Framed Violets Happy Birthday Card. We Fall in Colours July 2026 Blog Hop

  Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm hopping with the fabulous We Fall in Colours group. Once a month we get together and all create a project using three main Stampin' Up! colours and then share them in a hop! I absolutely love this months colours - so fresh a bright.

I'm using a brand new bundle called Framed Violets, but I've used the Daffodil Delight to colour in my petals. Did you know Yellow Violets do actually exist, I didn't - I just thought they were all kinds of shades of purple!

So, keeping my design super simple, I use layers to create some extra interest on my card!

Measurements

Misty Moonlight Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - scrap

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Take the Misty Moonlight card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the large piece of Basic White to the inside.

On a scrap of Basic White stamp the Violets image in Memento black ink. Colour in the petals with Daffodil Delight Blends and the leaves and stems in Lemon Lime Twist Blends.

Bring in your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and cut this image out using the coordinating die. Also cut a scalloped oval from Basic White and the smaller smoother oval from a scrap of Misty Moonlight.

Ink up the dotted line stamp with Misty Moonlight ink and stamp all over the card front. Overlap and change direction so that it looks completely random. Also do this on the Misty Moonlight Oval shape.

Layer the stamped oval onto the scalloped oval, then add dimensionals and place in the centre of the card front. Use liquid glue to stick down the flower image, positioning it slightly towards the top of the Misty Moonlight Oval.

On a scrap of Basic White stamp the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink and the cut out each line, pop some dimensionals onto the back of each strip and add to the card towards the lower part of the stamped Oval.

I really enjoyed creating this card for this colour challenge.
