Good Evening Everyone,
Happy Saturday - I hope you are all well?
I'm excited to say I'm joining in with Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop Today - It's the Monthly Showcase - so you can share whatever you have been working on.
I'm finally back creating a bit more - having the kids at home for the holidays has been utterly amazing and I cherish all the time I get to spend with my girls, but Boy does everything else just go out of the window! I get absolutely nothing done with any speed that isn't relating to the girls - like I say - I LOVE it, but my crafting time has seriously taken a hit. So my creating has been rather sparse.
Imogen, my 6 year old loves to craft and we are always making things, so I decided to take that opportunity to get some things made! She helped me create some of my future colour challenges and then decided to randomly pick three colours for me to make a card with and here it is!
She picked Old Olive, Poppy Parade and Pumpkin Pie - so I have used the Mixed Media Florals stamp set and the sentiment from Blooming Phrases.
What do you think?
Measurements
Old Olive Card Stock
1pc - 4 1/8"x 11 3/4" scored at 5 7/8"
Basic White Card Stock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 3 1/4" x 4 3/4"
1pc - 3 1/4" x 5/8"
---------------------------------
Take the Old Olive Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Adding the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.
Using your blender brush and some Old Olive ink ink, add a light coverage towards the bottom of the card front - to give an subtle ombre effect, keeping it darker at the bottom
Ink up the Floral image from Mixed Media Florals in Memento ink and stamp into the centre of the 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" piece of Basic White. Colour in using your stampin Blends.
Stamp the sentiment in memento ink onto the strip of Basic white. The full stamp is much longer, so just stamp so it runs off the edge.
Add liquid glue to the back of each piece and then line them both up on the card front - making sure you have nice even spacing (the side edges will show more Old Olive).
I hope you have enjoyed my card today - It was pretty quick and easy but makes a lovely card to send 'Just Because'.
Please take a few minutes to continue through the hop and get a lot of inspiration from the talented creators.
