Inked Botanicals Happy Birthday Bookbinding Fold Card.

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Saturday! I hope you are all well.

Today I'm sharing a card I made at a recent catch up with some team mates! I'm very lucky that Bec on my team lives close by, so she offered to host a craft and lunch session. Karen Egan, lives reasonably close by, so she hopped on over to join in the fun. We had a lovely day - crafting and chatting and we challenged ourselves to make three projects, and this is one of mine!

I'm absolutely in love with the Inked Botanicals Suite. It has such pretty designs and the most fabulous colour combinations.

---------------------------------

Take the Calypso Coral cardstock and score at 5 3/4" and 6 3/4". Fold the cardstock in half as you would normally to create a card base, but then fold the front piece back on itself.

Add some glue to the back of the 'spine' piece and adhere down - just this thin 1" section. The smaller piece glued down against the back piece creates the book bind element.

Wrap the ribbon around the thin piece of DSP, securing on the back. Then tie a bow or a knot (I did a knot because I just couldn't get my bow to look right!!) on the front, I have added a glue dot under the knot to keep it in place and reasonably flat. Add this to the front of the card in the small 1" section.

Add the DSP Panel to the front, and the Very Vanilla to the inside.

On the remaining piece of Very Vanilla, stamp the flower image towards the left. I added both Calypso Coral and Lost Lagoon to the stamp before stamping - you could use your Stamp n Write Markers, or use your ink pad and a light touch from daubers.

Take a scrap of DSP at least 4" tall and rip along the left hand side. adhere this to the stamp piece of Vanilla, coming up to the stamping. Trim off any excess so that it sits flush along the top, bottom and right hand sides. Layer this to the Calypso Coral mat and add this to the card front - centralising it on the 'open panel' section of the card front.

Stamp some of the flowers heads onto a scrap of Very Vanilla - I did two in Crushed Curry and one in Calypso coral. Fussy cut and add to the card in the lower right side of the stamped panel.

Also, on a scrap of Very Vanilla, stamp the sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink and cut out using the Double Oval punch - cut this out using the smaller smooth oval, and cut a scallop oval in Calypso Coral. Layer these together and add to the card front above to fussy cut flowers.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - I sure had fun creating it!

Here's a list of supplies I used in today's project, click on the images to head over to my online store - Don't forget, we still have our DSP sale on until the end of June - this paper pack, along with many others, has 15% discount! Product List
