Cottage Rose Scrapbusting Happy Birthday Card. Creative Colour Challenges - CCC47

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend - the weather has taken a massive turn and it's now very miserable and rainy here! But we still managed to have a lot of fun over the weekend - so it's all good.

As it's Monday, I wanted to share with you the card I've made for the brand new colour combo over on Creative Colour Challenges. 

I'll be honest - this one hurt my head slightly - the colours are very deep and rich and I really didn't have a clue what to create. I took out my card stock and noticed I had a lot of scrap strips - and my idea was born! haha. The White embossing really stands out against the background and I'm actually really chuffed with how it turned out.

Thick Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", score at 4 1/8"

Take the thick basic white card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base.

Now, using the scrap strips of card stock, create a background panel fro your card. Add these strips to the basic white card stock diagonally - making sure that you 'butt' then up close to each other and the you don't get any glue on the top. Trim down any edges that over hang.

Leave this to dry full if you used liquid glue.

Ink up your flower image from Cottage Rose in Versamark and add to the card, gently sprinkle with white embossing powder and set with your heat tool. You need to work quickly with this as you don't want to melt the glue that is holding the strip son too much. Leave to cool.

On a scrap of basic white stamp the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink and then angle the left hand side - I tried to make it the same angle as one of the strips  but you don't have to. adhere this with a bit of liquid glue and then trim the right hand side to sit flush with the mat below. Add this to the card front.

It's a super simple card - a great way to showcase these three colours - but you could easily take this concept and switch up the colours to create a different effect.

Snowman Magic Gift Tags. Ink Stamp Share July 2022 Blog Hop

 Good Afternoon Everyone

I'm taking part in the Ink Stamp Share Christmas in July blog hop this afternoon and I've created some super quick gift tags - I always overlooking making these and then at the last minute there's are rush on to finish cards and create packing decoration - I'm hoping that creating these now will help me be or at least feel like I'm ahead of the game! haha.

I made lots of colours and slight variations so I thought I'd share my favourite.

Thick Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 2 7/8" x 2 7/8"

Take the DSP and layer to the basic White card stock. Hold as a diamond shape and pop a hole into the top with a hole punch or cropadile. Thread through some basic white twine.

On Scraps stamp the snowman in memento adding the face and colouring the carrot nose. Also stamp a hat and scarf in Parakeet Party and either fussy cut or use the coordination dies. Build the snowman and then add to the card centrally.

Finally stamp the sentiment in Starry Sky, trim and banner tail the edges then add to the tag below the snowman.

I did say it was super quick - this design would be fabulous to make in batches and get ahead.

Soft & Subtle Happy Holidays Vintage Christmas Card. Inspireink Blog Hop July 2022

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Saturday! Today I'm taking part in the monthly Inspireink Blog Hop and other theme is Christmas in July. 

I've used the gorgeous Vintage Christmas Stamp Set and a selection of non traditional colours to give a Soft & Subtle tone to this Christmas Card.

Sahara Sand Card Stock

Take the Sahara Sand Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the Very Vanilla piece to the inside.

Using the Gingham Embossing Folder and your Cut & Emboss Machine, emboss the piece of Petal Pink. Add this to the centre of the card front.

Ink up the small berries and leaf image and stamp over the strips. I used Soft Sea Foam ink of the Sahara Sand Strip and Sahara Sand ink on the soft Sea Foam strip.

Add these strips at slight angles on the centre of the card front.

On scraps of Very Vanilla stamp two of the tall bottles and cut out. Stamp a smaller bottle in Sahara Sand onto Sahara sand card and fussy cut. Also stamp the sentiment circle and cut out.

Ink up the leaves in Soft Sea Foam and Stamp onto a scrap of Sahara sand and cut away a few of the springs.

Stamp the floral Cluster on Very Vanilla. This stamp has three parts - the flowers (stamped in Petal Pink), the Leaves (stamped in Soft Sea Foam) and the flower centres and pine cones (stamped in Sahara Sand). If you stamp these one on top of the other, the elements all fit together to create a full image! Fussy Cut the cluster.

Now, all you need to do is build you focal image onto the card front. I used both liquid glue and dimensionals to create some depth and add few pearls for a bit of extra detail.

Wonderful World Stable Door Fold Birthday Card. Fun Fold Friday

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Friday! I hope you have all had a fabulous week and have some exciting plans for the weekend. We haven't got much planned in - it's gunna be a kind of wing it and see one for us.

It's Fun Fold Friday and today I've made a really lovely and simple Stable Door Fold which coordinates with the Box I made yesterday - so be sure to check that tutorial out too and you can create a matching set to give. 

I've used the same print from the Wonderful World DSP and also the identical fussy cut flower, along with the same sentiment piece as the box to tie it all together.

Mossy Meadow Card Stock

Take the Mossy Meadow card stock and mark at 2 1/4" a small pencil dot on the score line, and one at the right hand side, again at 2 1/4". Pop this into your trimmer and cut down to the 2 1/4" mark on the score line, then rotate the card stock so that the cut line is to your left and cut down to the score line from the 2 1/4" pencil mark. This should free up a panel of card stock and leave you a 'stable door' card front. Fold and burnish this piece, keeping the score line to the left as you would a standard card base.

Adhere the 3 3/8" x 3 7/8" piece of DSP the the front of your 'door'.

Add the 2 1/2" x 3 7/8" piece of DSP to the top of the large piece of basic white, making sure the top and sides sit flush with the card below. Adhere this to the inside of the card.

Take the small rectangle of Mossy Meadow you cut away from the card base and add the coordinating DSP to the front and add the right sized piece of Basic White to the back.  Ink up the sentiment in Starry Sky ink and stamp toward the top of the panel.

Add adhesive to the back (white side) of the panel going approx 2/3rd of the way up. Adhere this to the 'door' section making sure you can see the sentiment on the inside and no glue comes over the 'door' otherwise you will glue to card shut.

Pop some mini dimensionals onto the back of the fussy cut flower and place this onto the centre panel.

Bring in your Cut & Emboss machine and cur out the sentiment, that you have stamped in Starry Sky, with the label die from Geraniums Dies. Add this with dimensionals below the flower on the front of the card.
