Wonderful World Thinking of You Floating Circle Card. Share it on a Sunday

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Sunday!! 

Today for Share it on a Sunday, we are all CASEing each other. I'm CASEing Karen from Crafty Karen Designs.

As you know, other people's creations can be a huge source of inspiration and CASEing has a couple of meanings... 

Some Say Copy And Share Everywhere - Basically using the original and sticking pretty much 'word for word' to the design.

Others Say Copy And Selectively Edit - so take their design and fuse it with your own ideas to create something based on the original.

I tend to do a bit of both, and today I've taken Karen's Card and used her layout and used different products to create a card that looks very similar in terms of positioning, but very different by using a different decoration. Here's the Card I've CASE'd

Rich Razzleberry Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

Wonderful You DSP

1pc - 4 1/2" x 4 1/2"

1pc - Fussy cut flower

Window Sheet

1pc - 4" x 4"

Take the Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding one of the Basic White pieces of the inside.

Stamp the sentiment in Orchid Oasis into the bottom left of the remaining piece of basic white and add to the card front.

Bring in your Cut and Emboss Machine and cut a 3 1/4" approx circle from the Layering Circles Dies from your window sheet.

Now, cut your DSP into 1/4" strips - I wanted the DSP design to follow through so I made sure I laid out the paper in order off to the side so it was easier to get it in the right place.

As I'm working with a full pattern I started from the edge and worked my way across. Adding a thin line of adhesive to the back of the DSP, Place these strips all over the window sheet circle to cover it, leaving even spacing between each strip. Once Dry trim off the overhanging DSP to get the circle shape.

Add this circle to the card front towards the top with mini dimensionals. I will admit, due to the thin strips I did need to cut these in half so that you couldn't see them through the circle. It made it a little more faffy, but I think the results make it worthwhile.

Figure out the positioning of the fussy cut flower and add dimensionals to the back of the flower that will sit on the basic white, then add a small amount of liquid glue to adhere the parts that lay over the circle.

Simply Fabulous Just Saying Hello Greeting Card using the Retiform Technique. Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. August 2022

  Good Evening Everyone

I hope you have all had a wonderful Saturday.

Today I'm Blog Hopping with the Stamping with Friends Ladies and our theme is Masking Technique. 

I decided that I would revisit the Retiform Technique, as I haven't done it in such a long time, and I thought it would be perfect for this hop. It's really easy to do and you can create some spectacular results.

Measurements

Gray Granite Card Stock

1pc  - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - scrap

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

Take the Gray Granite card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add one of the pieces of Basic White to the inside.

With the remaining piece of Basic White and add some post it notes onto the card stock at an angle.

 Using the Gray Granite ink, sponge along the edge to create a line of ink. 

Repeat this all over the card front changing up the angles to create different sized sections.

Now take some post it notes, and mask off a section, running the post it note all the sponged edges. Ink up your images and fill the space.  Make sure you stamp onto the post its as well, so you get a partial image, cut off by the sponged line.

Repeat this in all the sections. Then sponge around the edges to continue the look. Add this to the card front.

Finally stamp the sentiment in Gray Granite onto Basic White and they layer it to Gray Granite card and trim down and add to the card, placing a small merry merlot flower with a rhinestone in the centre.

Yeti to Party Winter Wishes & Holiday Hugs Christmas Card. Stampin for Christmas Blog Hop. August 2022

  Good Afternoon Everyone

Today I'm taking part in the Stampin For Christmas Blog Hop. We hope every month throughout the year and it really helps me get ahead for when Christmas crafting really kicks in. Although, during the Summer Months it feel slightly odd to be playing around with snowflakes and Christmas Trees - but Hey Ho!

Today I've used the Snowman Dies and the Yeti to Party to create a really fun Christmas Card - and it would be so easy to replicate closer to the time to get a nice batch made up.

Measurements

Parakeet Party Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

Tahitian Tide Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

Butterfly Kisses DSP

1pc - 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"

Take the Parakeet Party card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base - adding the basic white to the inside and the DSP to the card front.

Bring in your Cut & Emboss Machine and cut out the snowflake frame in the Tahitian Tide. I used a couple of pieces of washi tape to make sure that I kept my border around the edge nice and neat and even.

On a scrap on basic white stamp the Yeti in Gray Granite ink and fussy cut.

Now adhere the snowflake frame down to the centre of the card front, and add the Yeti over to the right. I tucked one of his feet under a snowflake and had the rest of him over the top.

On some more scraps of basic white stamp the sentiments and trim, then a few of the presents, colour these with a few Blends, fussy cut and arrange them all onto the card front to 'fill' in the space.

And that is it - really simple, and like I said, you could split this card down and batch each process and have some really nice cards to give.

Cottage Rose Landscape Offset Gatefold Birthday Card. Fun Fold Friday

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Friday, not long now until the weekend? I hope you have some wonderful plans. We havent got much planned, just kind of a wing it a see weekend for us! Haha.

So, as it's Friday, we have a selection of Fun Folds to share with you.

I've used the fabulous Abigail Rose Suite to create a lovely Offeet Gate fold card. I've cracked out the Stampin Blends again today, but for a very soft and kind of vintage feel.

Measurements

Soft Suede Card Stock

1pc - 11 3/4" x 4 1/8"

1pc - 2 3/4" x 3 7/8"

Very Vanilla Card Stock 

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Scraps

Abigail Rose DSP 

1pc - 3 3/4" x 4"

1pc - 1 7/8" x 4"

1pc - 3 5/8" x 2 5/8"

Take the piece of Soft Suede Suede Stock and score along the long side at 3 7/8" and 9 5/8".

Hold the card in front of you and fold from the edge into the centre on both sides, making two "doors". They should meet slightly off centre. Make sure you burnish  well.

Add the Very Vanilla card to the inside and two of the DSP panels to the "doors". 

Layer up the remaining piece of DSP to the soft Suede mat and add adhesive to the back, to and 2/3rds from the right. Add this to the card front. Making sure that the glue only sticks to the left hand side. If the glue goes over it will stick you card shut.

On scraps of Very Vanilla stamp the large flower in early Espresso ink. Once dry colour in with Blends. I used Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Ivory.

Add this to the card front towards the left of your contrasting panel, over hanging slightly.

Stamp the sentiment twice onto some scraps of very Vanilla and then cut out. The reason for two is that you take one word from one stamp and the other from the second. As the words are quite close together it's hard to get a decent border around the words if you just use a single stamp. Sponge the edges very lightly and add to the card.
