Dragonfly Garden 2"x2"x5" Gift Box. Stampin Birds Showcase Blog Hop June 2021

  Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Saturday! As you may have guessed by now, on the last Saturday of every month we have the Stampin Birds Showcase Blog Hop.

I have this fabulous gift box to share with you. I just absolutely love the tone on stone stamping  and the slight contrast of the dragonflies looks fab. The box measures 2"x2"x5" so it's a great size for all sorts of goodies.

Measurements

Soft Sea Foam Card Stock

1pc - 9 1/2" x 8 1/4"

scraps

Soft Succulent Card Stock

scraps

-----------------------------

Take the Soft Sea Foam card stock and score as follows:-

Long Side - 2", 7" & 9"

Short Side - 2", 4", 6" & 8"

Lay the card stock down so that you have a thin strip running across the top and along the left hand side.

Ink up the tall flower image in soft sea foam and stamp it in full along the four long panels across the centre. Then add the top part of the stamp onto the square which is furthest left. As this is to top of the lid, you will need to stamp this upside down as you look at it. I popped a small scrap of paper over the skinny rectangle to make sure I didn't get any ink on that tab.

Once the ink is dry, fold and burnish the score lines well. Now cut away at the card stock so you are left with this...

Add seal+ to the tab on the left hand side, fold round and adhere to the opposite side, at the bottom, fold in the sides and back then adhere down the front panel to create the base. at the top, fold in the two sides and tuck the lid in.

Take your wink of stella pen and add lots to the flower images. Also add it to three small dragonflies cut from Soft Succulent card stock.

\Stamp a large dragonfly in soft succulent ink onto a scrap of basic white and cut out with the punch.

Add all the dragonflies to the box with dimensionals .

Cute 4"x4" Thank You Cards using up my Scraps.

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

I hope you are all well.

Just wanted to share a really quick and simple card today. Ive been flicking through my DSP and noticed I have quite a few thin strips of gathering, so I decided to use these up along with some 4x4" card bases I had.

I always need Thank you cards and these are just fab!

The card on the left uses Pansy Petals DSP and Biggest Wish stamp set.  The right hand card used the Fine Art Floral DSP and the Flowers of Friendship stamp set.

Measurements

Basic white card Stock

1pc - 4"x 8", scored at 4"

Scraps of DSP that measure 1/2" wide.

Create your card base by folding the card along to score line.

Now adhere the thin strips of DSP and cover the bottom left corner. I used 5 strips, and each a different pattern, but you could mix it up however you like.

Add the sentiment and you are done!!

Told you it was ridiculously easy, and a great way to use up those pesky strips of DSP.

Delicate Petals Hello Friend. Inspire Create Challenges #93 Inspiration Challenge

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Tuesday, Today I have created a card for Inspire Create Challenges #93 where we were given a card created by Verity Pursglove of Inky Butterfly to use as a guide to make a project.

Measurements

Coastal Cabana Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Mango Melody Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 5/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 5 1/8" x 3 3/8"

Create your card base by folding the coastal cabana along the score line. Add the larger piece of basic white to the inside and the mango melody card stock to the card front.

On the remaining piece of basic white, stamp the flower from Delicate Petals and cover two opposite corners. I stamped a full flower and the added a few bits either side to fill it out. Once the memento ink is dry colour in using Blends.

Stamp the sentiment from Biggest Wish Stamp set in Pacific Point into the centre of the panel. Add this to the card front.

Be sure to pop over to Inspire Create Challenges to join in yourself.

In the Wild Hello Greeting Card. Share it on a Sunday Fussy Cut Challenge

Good Morning Everyone,

How is it Sunday again?? This week has flown by!!

It's Father Day here in the UK, so we will be heading out shortly to treat Daddy to lunch. It's a win win for me as I don't have to cook!! hehe. So, before I get caught up in all the celebrating, I will show you my card for today.

The theme for this week was FUSSY CUTTING, and If I'm totally honest, I really had no idea what I was going to do at first. But I started to look through my DSP and when I saw the In The Willd DSP and those Big Cats, I knew what I wanted to create.

Measurements

Cajun Craze Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

scraps

Merry Merlot Card Stock

1pc - 1" x 5 1/4"

In the Wild DSP

1pc - 3 1/4" x 5"

Fussy cut Cats and Flowers

------------

Take the Cajun Craze card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, add the piece of Basic White to the inside.

Add the leopard print DSP to the card front at a slight angle. Place the merry merlot strip running along the card front about 1/3rd of the way up, making sure it sits flush with the left hand side of the card front.

Place two fussy cut cats onto the strip. have the one on the left come off the page slightly, cutting it flush with the edge.

Stamp the sentiment in Merry merlot onto a scrap of basic white and fussy cut - adding this in between the two cats .

Finally add a couple of fussy cut flowers.

I hope you like my card for today, please head over to see what Donna and Karen have both made

Celebrate with Flowers Happy Birthday Card. Ink Stamp Share Case the Catalogue Blog Hop. June 2021

Good Afternoon Everyone,

This afternoon I'm taking part in an Ink Stamp share Blog Hop and the theme for this one is the CASE the Catalogue.

Now CASE can and is interpreted in many different was, most commonly Copy And Share Everywhere or Copy And Selectively Edit - any can be right - like most things in craft it's our intepretation.

I have decided to CASE a card using the Celebrate with Flowers stamp set from pg 63 of the catalogue. I have kept the principal design the same, but have switch up the colours slightly so I'm only using In Colours.

Measurements

Just Jade Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 2 7/8" x 5 5/8"

Fold your piece of Just Jade card stock along the score line and burnish well. Decide which will be the front, and the cut off 1" from the width to make the card front shorter.

Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment in versamark ink on the inside of the card towards the right, so that it shows when the card is closed (as the front is shorter). Cover the ink with White embossing powder , gently tap off the excess and heat set using a heat tool.

Add one to the basic white pieces to the inside of the card, making sure it sits behind the card front when closed.

On the remaining piece of basic white, stamp the leaf image horizontally with the three colours. The way I did this was to stamp the leaves facing the same direct twice, one under the other with a small gap in between, then rotate the stamp and stamp again, this time stamping off first with your ink to create a lighter tone. I also started in the middle of my card stock to help judge my spacing.

I didn't have the fancy embellishments that are on the catalogue sample, so I decided to silver emboss some of the flowers that are in the stamp set - heat embossing the same way as above.

Add this panel tot he card front and you are done, it's a really simple card and I can image this would look great in a variety of colour combinations.
