Pretty Flowers Happy Birthday Card Using Pressure Embossing. Crafty Collaborations Technique Challenge Blog Hop. June 2021

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in the Crafty Collaborations Technique Tuesday Blog Hop and this month we are all focusing on Pressure Embossing. I will have to admit it's something I tend to forget about doing, maybe because my machine is out of sight - I'm terrible at overlooking embossing folders.

So, today I have really really pushed myself and have used TWO embossing folders... Painted Textures for the background and the flower and leaves come from the Pretty Flowers embossing folder

Measurements

Soft Suede Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8~" x 3 7/8"

Take the larger piece of Soft Suede and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the basic white card stock to the inside.

Run the remaining piece of Soft Suede through the painted textures embossing folder in your Cut & Emboss machine. Take your white ink pad and gently and very lightly 'swipe' it over the card. This will get ink onto the raised areas and give that effect. you can make this as light of as heavy as you wish - just bear in mind that it doesn't dry as a solid bright white, especially against the darker card stock.

On a scrap piece of basic white, stamp the sentiment from Garden Birdhouses stamp set and then adhere diagonally across the top left hand side, trimmer off the overhanging edges so the the strip is flush with the card below.

Glue this panel down onto the card front.

Go back to your Cut & Emboss machine and this time, run a piece of Fresh Freesia card stock through the Pretty Flowers embossing folder, and do the same with a piece of pear pizzazz card stock.

Fussy cut some of the flowers from the Fresh Freesia and some leaves from the Pear Pizzazz, sponge these to pick out the detail and then arrange onto the card front using dimensionals and 

Finally stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of basic white and cut out using the double oval punch. lightly add some ink around the edges and dd to the card, tucking it under the flower.

Quick & Easy Thank You and Hello Cards using up Designer Series Paper. Scrapbusting.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I have another quick and easy scrapbusting layout to show you.  I'm not known for my clean and simple cards, but I can do them, sometimes haha!! Like to cards from yesterday, These are useful to use up scraps. I batch make these and have them on hand for all sorts of reasons.

Pansy Thank You Card

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc -3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

Pansy Petals DSP

1pc - 3" x 3 7/8"

BlackBerry Bliss Card Stock 

1pc - 1/4" x 3 7/8"

Beauty of the Earth Hello Card

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8:

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

Beauty of the Earth DSP

1pc - 2" x 5 5/8"

Cajun Craze Card Stock

1pc - 1/4" x 5 5/8"

Take the largest piece of basic white and fold along to score line to create you card base.

On the remaining piece of white add the DSP  either to the bottom or side. Add the thin strip of card Stock to the open end to finish it off.

Finally add a sentiment above the DSP and Card Stock section.

Super quick, super simple and a great way to show off some beautiful DSP and create a batch of cards in one hit!!

Ornate Thanks You're A Peach Thank You Cards. Scrapbusting. Share it on a Sunday

 Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all well and enjoying some lovely weather - we have had a really good week or so of really nice sunshiny summery days and it's set to continue, so I predict a lot of working outside in the garden!

It's Sunday, so that means we have a Share it on a Sunday and this week we have decided to use the same DSP - we all have very different styles and ideas, so this one will be really interesting, Here's the cards I made...

I love this style of card, super quick and super fun - plus a great way to get that scrap pile down a little bit - and it would be so easy to change up the sentiment across the centre to make a card for ANY occasion.

Poinsettia Petals Merry Christmas Gate Fold Card. Stampin for Christmas Monthly Blog Hop June 2021

  Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I have a Christmans Project for you - you may say its too early but I don't think it is ever too early to make a start.  I'm taking part in the  Stampin For Christmas Monthly Blog Hop - which really helps me create something throughout the year, adding to the pile each month in anticipation of the big despatch in December.

Take the Shaded Spruce Card Stock and score on the long side at 2 3/4"  and 8 1/4".  Fold from the left to the centre and front the right to the centre - this will create the Gate part of the card, make sure that they line up in the centre and burnish well.. Add the larger piece of basic white to the inside.

On the two strip of basic white, stamp the holly leaf outline all over to create a background. Take your wink of stella and use it to 'colour' in the Holly. The wet liquid will 'pull' some of the ink from the outline and give you a very pale infil colour full of sparkle - takes a bit of time to cover them all, but I think it is worth it. Add these panels to the two front 'gate' pieces.

On the remaining piece of basic white, stamp the sentiment along the shorter side in Shaded Spruce ink. Once dry, layer this to the Cherry Cobbler card stock. Add dimensionals to the back to this piece, but only on the left hand half. Hold the card closed, then add this panel to the front, making sure it is centred and that the dimensionals only stick to the left hand side. If the go over onto the right panel, then you will stick your card shut.

Using the Poinsettia cut out some of the petal sections. These are great dies and you can cut out just the shape and/or add embossed details too. 

The outline cuts and the solid embossed, so you can sit them inside each other and do both processes at once...

Also cut out the pieces for the centre. Like below, the base piece is Bumblebee and the top piece is cherry cobbler.

Now layer all these pieces together to and add this to the card front above the sentiment

Bouquet of Hope Paper Pumpkin Kit available in Europe!!

   Good Afternoon Everyone,

Thought I'd just jump on a talk to you quickly about the Brand New Paper Pumpkin Kit that is available NOW.

As you may or may not know Paper Pumpkin is a subscription Kit service available from Stampin Up in several of it's markets.
