Turtley-Cute Birthday Card - Cards TV Mary's Sketches #2

 Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all well. Today I'm bringing you the second sketch in my Mary's Sketches series.

A fabulous lady called Mary has a blog called Cards TV and she releases sketches. Now, if you have been following me for some time you may remember #33sketches - a mini series Donna, Karen and I did a few years ago. Well, this is that same set of sketches, except now Mary is up to sketch number 64 I think. So there's plenty for me to go at.

Following sketch layouts is a great way to keep up motivation, and also maybe push yourself out of your usual format. I'm really looking forward revisiting some of the earlier sketches, and creating for the newer ones too.

This card showcases the fabulous Turtle-y Cute DSP, adding in a little stamping from Darling Dinos and Choose Happy.

Sketch from CardsTV

Measurements

Turtle-y Cute DSP
1pc - 5 3/8" x 3 3/4"
some fussy cut images

Garden Green Card Stock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"
1pc - 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
1pc - 2 1/2" x 3 /4"

Basic White Cardstock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"
1pc - 1/2" x 2 1/4"

----------------------------------------------------

Take your Garden Green Cardstock and fold along the score line and add the larger Basic white panel to the inside.

Take the piece of DSP and cut on the short side at  1 1/2". Then cut each strip at 1 3/4" from the top. Place these on the card front, making sure you leave a nice even border around all the sides. Also, pay attention to the pattern on the paper and make sure you adhere the pieces down so the pattern continues across the card front.

Ink up the Sun from Choose Happy in Crushed Curry ink and stamp in the top right hand corner of the remaining piece of Basic White. Layer this to the Garden Green mat layer and add to the card front. Now add the fussy cut images to create a little scene on the Basic White piece.

On the strip of Basic White stamp the sentiment from Darling Dinos in Garden Green ink, layer this to the Garden Green strip and add to the card front

I hope you have enjoyed my card, and will continue to join me through this series! Please make sure you pop on over to my Facebook Page - Craft & Banter to share any projects you create

Blooming phrases Storybook Moments Thanks Card - Cards TV Mary's Sketches #1

 Good Morning Everyone,

So in an attempt to keep me creating and making things I've set myself up with a little Challenge.

Today's card uses the Storybook Moments DSP and the Blooming phrases Stamp Set which are both current Online Exclusives

Sketch from CardsTV

Measurements

Pecan Pie Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 4 1/8" x 2 5/8"

1pc - 2 5/8" x2 7/8"

scrap

Very Vanilla Card Stock

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

scrap

Storybook Moments DSP

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2 1/4" x 4"

1pc - 2 1/2" x 2 3/4"

---------------------------------------------

Take the Pecan Pie Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the Very Vanilla card stock piece to the inside and the larger piece of DSP to the card front.

Layer the remaining pieces of DSP to the coordinating Pecan Pie mat layers. Adhere the rectangular piece to the card front off to the left, then add the more square piece with the squirrel image dimensionals  towards the right, overlapping the rectangle a little.

On a scrap of Very Vanilla stamp the Thanks sentiment from Blooming Phrases in Pecan Pie ink. The image has a long line after the word, so I used this as a stalk, and added the ears of grain to the end. Trim this piece down and layer onto a mat layer of Pecan Pie and add along the bottom of the card front.

I hope you enjoyed my card today - I had a lot of fun creating it and look forward to sharing more sketches with you. Don't forget to check out Mary's Blog and if you do recreate any of my cards, or use this sketch - then please do share them over in my Facebook Group - Craft & Banter - I would LOVE to see any of your projects.

In Color DSP Choose Happy Birthday Card. Crafty Collaborations Crafty Challenge Hop.

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in the monthly Crafty Challenge Hop with the Crafty Collaborations group. This month we have a sketch layout to follow. It's a fab layout, which helped me showcase all of our new 2025-27 In Colours.

Unfortunately due to issues with the ink colouring, our  Cloud Cover ink pad isn't available, but we still have the card, DSP and markers, so I did manage to get all five colours onto the one card!!

Measurements

Cloud Cover Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored 4 1/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

scrap

In Color DSP - 2025-27

4pc - 1" x 5 1/2" - one in each colour except Cloud Cover.

---------------------------------------------------

Take the Cloud Cover card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.

Add the four strips of DSP onto the card front with liquid glue, following the layout and having them a little 'wonky'.

On a scrap of Basic White stamp the sentiment from Choose Happy in Secret Sea ink and then cut out using the Labeled with Love punch. Ink up the flower image, but not the leaves ( I masked them off before inking up) and stamp one above and one below the sentiment. Colour these in with a Strawberry Slush Marker and add a larger rhinestone to the centre of each.

Pop some dimensionals onto the back and add to the card front, towards the left hand side.

I hope you enjoyed my card today - I loved making it! Please take a few minutes to continue through the hop and check out how all the other participants have interpreted the layout.
