Stippled Roses Sympathy Card. Monochromatic Insta Hop - Early Espresso

I'm still making my way through my previous projects list and today I'm sharing a card I made for the Monochromatic Insta Hop, this time using Early Espresso.

This was another simple card to create, but thanks to the most amazing detail in the Stippled Roses stamp set, it's definitely not boring. I know Sympathy cards aren't the most fun to make, but they can still be beautiful. 

I added the sympathy sentiment from Something Fancy, but this design could work for any occasion.

Measurements

Very Vanilla Card Stock

1pc - 11 3/4" x 4 1/8", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 3 5/8" x 5 5/8"

1pc - scrap

Early Espresso Card Stock

1pc - scrap

Take the larger piece of Very Vanilla cars stock and fold along the score line to create your card base.

Ink up the large floral rose stamp from Stippled Roses in Early Espresso ink and stamp the image twice on the Very Vanilla mat. Add them along the short edges, covering most of the panel, leaving a small band across the centre.

Add ink to all four edges of the panel. I wanted a thin neat line, so I help the card on it's side and tapped it's edge very lightly into my Early Espresso Ink pad. Repeat this step with the card base.

Pop some adhesive on the back of the stamped panel and adhere it to the centre of the card front.

On a scrap of Very Vanilla stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso ink and then trim then layer onto a scrap of Early Espresso.

Add this to the centre of the card front.

Finally place a few pearls around for a little extra detail.
