Delightfully Eclectic Circle Saying Lidded Happy Birthday Gift Box. The Project Share Project Blog Hop April 2024

 Good Morning Everyone!

Happy Saturday!

I'm just nicely back from a week away in Scarborough - which was absolutely lovely. But it's back to it now and today I'm taking part in The Project Share Blog Hop.

You may have seem that each week 4 of us share each others projects as a way to showcase our talented creative friends. Once a month we all get together and create a project for a blog hop.

This Month our theme is 3D. I'll be honest, recently I have just been creating cards, so it was nice to make a 3D project.

I've created a very cute little lidded gift box decorated with the Delightfully Eclectic DSP and a sweet little Happy Birthday Sentiment.  It measures 3" x 4" x 1 3/4", so will fit lots of goodies in.

Measurements

Misty Moonlight Card Stock

1pc - 6 1/2" x 7 1/2"

Bubble Bath Card Stock

1pc - 6" x 5"

1pc - scrap

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - scrap

Delightfully Eclectic DSP

1pc - 3 7/8" x 2 7/8"

2pc - 3 7/8" x 7/8"

2pc - 2 7/8" x 7/8"

--------------------------------------

Take the Misty Moonlight card stock and score at 1 3/4" on all four sides.

Fold and burnish the score lines well and notch into all the four corner square to create tabs.

Add tear and tape to all four tabs and adhere to the sides to create to base.

For the lid, score the Bubble Bath card stock at 1" on all four side - if you move the card stock away for the left edge just a fraction on each score line your lid it will fit the box a little better.

Fold and burnish all the score lines and again notch into the squares to create those tabs

Add all your DSP pieces to the Lid. If you have directional paper, pay attention to how the box will be when it is built so that your paper is the right way.

Add tear and tape to the tabs and fold them into the side to make the lid.

On a scrap strip of Basic White stamp the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink the cut our using the smooth oval from the Double oval punch, also cut a scalloped oval in Bubble Bath.

Layer these two ovals together and add to the lid.

It's a super easy box to create and would look fabulous using so many different DSP and colourways. How about giving it a try?

Please take a few minutes to continue through the hop to check out what everyone else has made for our 3D theme. Heather is up next, so click on the button below to take a look at her project
