Bottled Happiness Bold Happy Birthday Card

Good Afternoon Everyone

Today's card uses a combination that's a little bold and unusual - in fact it was a combo that came up in Creative Colour Challenges a few weeks back. I was asked by a friend to create a Birthday card that had flowers but not soft girl flowers - yep that was literally my brief! haha. So, I had a scratch around in my head and remembered these colours, then went to work with the Bottled Happiness and Pansy Patch Stamp Sets. What do you think?

Measurements

Basic Black Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Daffodil Delight Card Stock

1pc - 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"

Garden Green Card Stock

1pc - 2 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Take the Basic Black Card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the basic white piece to the inside.

Adhere the Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler pieces of card to the Daffodil Delight and ass this to the card front.

On scraps of Basic White stamp the floral bouquet twice. I used Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green for the two stamps, then added a bit of Daffodil Delight the the centre of the flowers with my Blends. Fussy Cut and pop to one side.

Using the Pansy Patch stamp set - stamp the two sentiments in Memento Black ink onto scraps of Basic White and trim, layer these both the Basic Black mats and trim to leave a nice even border.

Take these along with the fussy cut bouquets and arrange on the card front, adhering down with dimensionals.

Bottled Happiness Sending a Little Message Greetings Card. Creative Colour Challenges #CCC92

Good Evening Everyone

Happy Monday! I hope you have all had a fabulous day to start off the new week.

Today I'm sharing my card for this week's Creative Colour Challenges combo. I won't lie, a mix of two brown tones and a mustard yellow wasn't this easiest for me to work with, but I decided to go down a slightly vintage looking route using the Bottled Happiness stamp set and I think it actually turned out alright.

Measurements

Crumb Cake Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Early Espresso Card Stock

Take the Crumb Cake Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Using the two images for the Bouquet of flowers and Crumb Cake ink, cover to card front with this beautiful image.

Add the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.

Ink up the leaf image in crumb cake ink and cover the remaining piece of Basic White and then layer onto the Early Espresso card stock. Adhere this to the card front off to the left, making sure you have even borders along the top, bottom and left hand side.

On a scrap of basic white stamp the floral Bouquet using Crushed Curry from the flower section and Early Espresso for the leaves and foliage. Fussy cut and pop to the side.

Using your Vintage Bottle punch, cut out a bottle shape from a scrap of Early Espresso card.

Add both the bottle and bouquet to the card front, adhering then down with dimensionals to the white stamped panel.

Ink up the sentiment in Early Espresso ink and stamp onto a scrap of Basic White - cut out using the smooth oval from the Double Oval Punch. The sentiment is a bit snug in this space, so take your time to get it lined up and it will fit - just! haha. Also cut a scalloped oval using the same punch from a scrap of Crushed Curry Card stock.

Layer these together and add to the card front with dimensionals towards the bottom right hand side.

Bright Happy Birthday Card using Circle Sayings. Creative Colour Challenges - #CCC91

Good Morning Everyone

Happy Friday! I hope you have all had a fabulous weekend and have some great plans for the weekend ahead.

Today I've created a card using this week's Creative Colour Challenges combo - which is bright and bold and pretty lovely! I decided on a simple card using the Circle Sayings Bundle to create both a background and a focal point for my Birthday Card.

Measurements

Parakeet Party Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4" scored at 5 7/8"

Orchid Oasis Card Stock

1pc - 5 5.8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"

Take the Parakeet Party card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the larger piece of Basic White to the inside of the card.

Ink up the floral semi circular bough image in Melon Mambo and cover the remaining piece of Basic White Card stock to create a fun background.

Layer this to the larger piece of Orchid Oasis and place onto the card front.

Add the 2 1/4" square to the centre of the card front, positioned as a diamond.

Using the 2 3/8" circle punch, cut out one Basic White circle and two Parakeet Party ones.

Stamp the floral bough around the Basic White circle in Orchid Oasis ink, adding the Happy Birthday sentiment to the centre with Melon Mambo ink.

Glue the two Parakeet Party circles behind this, making sure you have a nice even piece of green showing on two opposite sides. Add this to the centre of the Orchid Oasis Diamond with dimensionals.
