Abstract Beauty Birthday Bracelet Gift Box. Stamp n Hop Old & New Blog Hop. January 2022

 Good Evening Everyone

I hope you are all well. Today I have a fun gift box to share with you for the Stamp n Hop Old & New Blog Hop.

I have a friends birthday coming and I have bought her the loveliest handmade bracelet I picked up at a Christmas Fair and as much as the packaging was pretty, I wanted to make a box to hold it in, after all that's what we do, right? It's been wrapped in some tissue paper and sits snuggly inside. It measures.... 

Measurements

Basic Black Card Stock 

1pc - 7 1/2" x 5 1/4"

Basic White Card Stock

Abstract Beauty DSP 

1pc - 5 7/8" x 1 3/8"

2pc - 5 7/8" x 5/8"

2pc - 5/8" x 1 3/8"

Take the piece of basic black card Stock and score as follows....

Long Side - 3/4" & 6 3/4"

Short Side - 3/4", 2 1/4", 3" & 4 1/2"

Fold and burnish the score lines really well getting really sharp crisp folds.

Cut away at the card stock so you are left with this shape...

Add the DSP to the black card like so...

Add a small thumb notch to the skinny edge which has DSP on it. I don't have a small circle punch so i used the tip of my tailored tag Punch to create a tiny V shape.

Add tear and tape to the four small tabs you snipped into earlier and fold in to create the base. These should all fold around the plain black rectangle.

On a scrap of basic white, stamp the sentiment in Magenta Madness and cut out with the smooth oval from the double oval punch, and also two plain basic black ones. Add the black ovals under the basic white piece, making sure you have equal black showing at either side. Add this to the lid of the box.

Symbols of Fortune Happy Birthday Card. Crafty Collaborations New Catalogue Launch Blog Hop. January 2022

 Good Afternoon Everyone

Welcome to my first Crafty Collaborations blog hop of the year! We are showcasing products from our brand new Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue - there is so many beautiful products available I found it tricky to choose but I finally settled on this beautiful DSP called Symbols of Fortune.

My design is simple, with layers of the different patterns and a fussy cut crane, but it really looks fabulous. The Gold Embossed sentiment (from Sweet as a Peach)  just finishes it off nicely, don't you think?

Measurements

Smoky Slate Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

Evening Evergreen Card Stock

 Take the Smoky Slate Card stock and fold it along the score line to create your card base. Add the basic white panel to the inside.

Add the larger piece of DSP to the card front, then place the strip of Evening Evergreen just below half way down the card front.

On the floral piece of DSP, stamp the sentiment along the bottom in versamark ink and heat emboss in gold. Add this panel towards the left of the card front, then position the fussy cut crane to left right.

Shaded Summer Emboss Resist Thank You Card. Creative Colour Challenges #CCC18

 Good Morning Everyone,

Hope you are all well? 

Today I wanted to show you my entry for this week's Creative Colour Challenges. I really like the combination this week and I felt that I needed to do something quite dramatic with the colour, so I did the emboss resist technique. The flowers soften the look slightly, but it still keeps it's dark and moody background.

Take the Misty Moonlight card stock and fold along the score line to create you card base. Add one of the Basic White pieces to the inside.

On the other piece of basic white stamp the smaller floral cluster in versamark ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Leave to cool.

Once cooled, add ink with your sponges or blending brushes. I started with the misty moonlight and covered about a third, then the next third was Gorgeous Grape, and finally the remaining third was gray granite. I started off with light coverage and just kept adding more ink to deepen the colour and blend where the colour met, just swapping and changing the colours and my sponges as I went. The Key here is to add slowly and build up, you can always add more ink, but it's near impossible to take it away! 

Now, take some kitchen roll/Paper towel and go over the panel, lifting the ink from the embossed areas and the ink doesn't 'soak' in it just sits on the top. this will make a huge difference to your images and make then lovely and bright.

When you are happy with your blending add this panel to the card front.

Now heat emboss the larger flower image in White onto gorgeous grape card stock. Once this has cooled fussy cut and layer onto gray granite card stock, and fussy cut again, leaving a nice even border all the way around.

Add this to the card front, kind of into the centre with dimensionals.

On a scrap of basic white, stamp the thank you sentiment in versamark and clear heat emboss. Once cooled, cover with the gray granite ink. Cut out using the Tailored Tag punch and then add ink to the edges to make it look like a darker mat.

Place this onto the card over the stem of the flower.

I absolutely love how this turned out and I think I could love amazing in so many other colour ways.

Boughs & Blossoms Thank You Card. Share it on a Sunday CASE A Catalogue

  Good Morning Everyone

Happy New Year to you all, I hope you have a fabulous time over the Christmas period. We had lots of fun celebrating, but it's nice to get back into a routine again.

So, speaking of a Routine - We are back with our Share it on a Sunday series, which will be coming out twice a month! We are very excited to get this back in the diary, and we hope you are too.

This week, we are all CASEing A Catalogue. I have decided to use the Boughs and Blossoms bundle from our new Mini Catalogue which is out on the 4th of Jan. I can't show you yet the exact project I CASEd but its very similar except I went for bold and bright using our 2020-2022 in colours.

Measurements

Magenta Madness Cardstock

Basic White card Stock

2020 - 22 In Colour DSP Scraps

Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee, Just Jade and Magenta Madness

Take the Magenta Madness Cardstock and fold along the score line to create your card base, add the basic white card Stock to the inside.

Cut out a postage stamp shape from the Just Jade, Misty Moonlight and Bumblebee card stock. Stamp the images in versamark and heat embossing using white powder. 

Adhere a small piece of the DSP to the same coloured card Stock and then punch out a stamp shape making sure you have a small portion of the DSP covering the cardstock and an angle.

Also cut out a stamp shape in the Magenta Madness DSP.

Arrange all these pieces onto the card front, adding dimensionals to a few and using liquid glue for others to get height difference and some additional interest.

Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Magenta Madness Cardstock in versamark and heat wmboss with white again. Trim and add to the same colour DSP shape on the card front.

Finally punch out some of the shapes in basic white using the Bough Punch and add these to the non embossed areas.
