Expressions in Ink 6x6" One Sheet Wonder. InspireINK Blog Hop June 2021

Good Morning Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in the Inspire Ink Monthly Blog Hop and for this one we are all creating cards using a one sheet wonder. If you are unfamiliar, basically you take a piece of DSP and cut it up in such a way that you get several pieces to decorate several different cards.

What's a One Sheet Wonder, I hear you ask? Basically you take a piece of DSP that measures 6x6" and cut it up in such a way that you can decorate several cards with the DSP - adding some card stock and sentiments and you've got a selection of card in quick time with minimal supplies. In fact you can get the DSP to cover 16 cards from just one full sheet of the DSP>

Measurements

Card Stock

Polished Pink

2pc - 11 3/4" x 4 1/8", scored at 5 7/8"

Evening Evergreen

2pc - 11 3/4" x 4 1/8", scored at 5 7/8

Expressions in Ink DSP

1pc - 6x6"

A selection of basic white, basic black and polished pink scraps

First fold and burnish the Card Stock along the score lines to create your card bases. Add the Basic Wihte panels to the inside.

Take your piece of 6x6" DSP and cut as per the template above. Add card stock mats to the back of some of the DSPm I added 1/8" to all my DSP measurements. There was no particular reason about my colour choices per card, I just went through my scraps of In colour card stock and picked pieces that fit.

Create some sentiment layers by stamping them using the in colour inks, matting onto the card stock.

Now assemble the cards, I stamped some sentiments directly onto the card front, I added DSP and Sentiment panels to the cards and I think I've managed to get four really pretty cards. what do you think?

Shaded Summer 'Some friendships are just meant to be' Greeting Card. Pootlers Team Swap June 2021

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Friday! Today I have a fabulous blog post today. As you know I'm part of the Pootlers Team, and each time we get a mew catalogue we do a physical swap. We are put into groups of 7 and then we had to design a card, make it for the 6 other in the group and send it out. These swaps are such a great Idea to help get inspiration for the new products, but also just to say Hi.

Here's the cards I made, for my swaps. I'll show you how I made them once I have shared everyone elses fabulous creations

Janice Thomson - Jazzle Dazzle Crafts

Janice has used the Expressions in Ink Suite for this beautiful card. I love to Gold, it really does look fabulous with the green.

Gez Carpenter - Nigezza Creates

Gez has also used the Artistically Inked bundle and Expressions in Ink paper, in fact the same die cut, sentiment and piece of DSP which looks amazing also. This just goes to show that there's so many different looks and finishes you can create with the same suite.

Tina Ehlich - Tina's Kreativ Box

Tina has used the Colour & Contour bundle, along with some of our new in colours and created this fabulous card with some beautiful blending

Valerie Broomfield - Valerie's Handmade Gifts

Valerie has used the gorgeous Elegantly Said stamp set, coordinating Simply Said DSP and some metallic card stock and the tailored tag punch to create this fun and bold card.

Amber Shodja - Stampin Oasis

Amber has made this fabulous card using the Pansy Petals Suite, which I adore. You pull up the white panel to reveal your message. It's really sweet, and then the wood decoration is just so adorable. I will definitely be trying out this style of card.

So here's a quick 'How To' for the card I made.

Measurements (per card)

Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2 7/8" x 1 7/8"

Take your card stock and fold along the score line to create a card base. Stamp the flowers in the same colour ink as your card stock to cover the whole of the card front. Once the ink is dry 'colour' the flower heads in with you wink of stella.

On the larger piece of basic white, stamp the flower in opposite corners in the same colour ink as you used above and add this to the inside of the card.

Stamp the flower image fully, but towards the bottom of the remaining piece of basic white in Polished Pink ink. add the sentiment in Evening Evergreen then add this to the card front.

It's a really quick and easy card to make, the design is great and you can easily make a batch of these in minutes.

Batik Boutique Happy Birthday Card. Pootlers Team Colour Challenge

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I have a fun card to share with you, Our upline sets us regular challenges within our team group - sometimes it a 'thinking' project, sometimes a business lead challenges and sometimes it's just a good old creative challenge. This week we have a colour challenge and we have to use Night of Navy, Melon Mambo & Mint Macaron. I love this combination and thought it would work perfectly with the Batik Boutique stamp set

Measurements

Melon Mambo Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

Mint Macaron Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 3 5/8" x 5 3/8"

1pc - scrap for the sentiment

Create your card base by folding the Melon Mambo card stock along the score line, adding one of the basic white panels to the inside.

On the remaining panel of basic white fill it with the large flourish image. I stamped the outline in melon mambo, the larger infill stamp in Night of Navy and the smaller infill stamp with Mint Macaron. I love how pretty and detailed this stamp is.

Add this panel to the card front.

Stamp the Happy Birthday in Night of Navy ink onto a scrap of basic white and cut out with the double oval punch, then cut a scallop oval from night of navy card stock - layer these together and add to the card.

Finally add some rhinestones to the sentiment piece and also the flourishes to add a little bling

True Love Colour Burst Section Thank You Card

Good Morning Everyone.

It's set to be another fabulously sunny day today so I'm heading into the garden again I think, might as well whilst the sun is out!

Today I have this lovely card to share with you, which I think looks a lot more difficult to make than it actually is.

I've used the gorgeous True Love DSP which is now a while stocks last product, so be quick to get it!

Measurements

Basic Black Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

2pc - 1/4" wide

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

True Love DSP

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Take the basic black and fold along the score line. Add the basic white panel to the inside.

Grab a pencil and a ruler and add two lines starting off quite close to the left but fanning out towards the right, like this..

I added post it notes along the outside edge of my pencil marks, just to help me 'stay in the lines' and keep my finish much neater.

Now colour in the section with a selection of Blends. Remove the post it notes and you are left with this...

Take the thin 1/4" strips of basic black and add to either side of the coloured section and trim off the edges. This covers any wibbles and the pencil Mark's as well as giving it a really nice finish.

Pop this panel onto the card front.

Stamp the thank you sentiment from pansy patch in black ink, layer onto a piece of black card Stock and add to the card.
