Dragonfly Garden Monotone Greeting Card. Share it on a Sunday

 Good Morning Everyone,

It's Sunday, so that means we have a Share it on a Sunday for you. This week we are creating Monotone projects. Now, i'll be honest I have a tendency to overthink this theme and think it needs to be 'more' than it is. So I jumped in with both feet and just created, using a selection of brown tones and a splash of vanilla -  I love how this has turned out.

Measurements

Crumb Cake Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Early Espresso Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 2 1/4"

Sahara Sand Card Stock

1pc -  5 7/8" x 2"

Very Vanilla Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Take the Crumb Cake card stock and fold along the score link. Stamp the butterfly cluster all over the card front in crumb cake.

Add a cluster to the large piece of very vanilla in the top right hand corner. Ink up the meadow flowers in early espresso ink and add the top half of it to the bottom left hand corner.

Stick this panel to the inside of the card.

Ink up the meadow flowers again in early espresso ink but this time stamp onto the strip of Sahara Sand. Stamp this towards the bottom of the strip. Stamp the sentiment Above and layer this strip to the early espresso piece. Adhere this to the card front towards the left.

Stamp a large Dragonfly onto a scrap of very Vanilla and cut out using the Dragonfly Punch. Once the ink is dry, add lots of wink of Stella to the wings. You will pull a small amount of the brown but that's ok. Cut out two smaller dragonflies in early espresso Cardstock and cover with more wink of Stella. 

Add all your dragonflies to the card front with dimensionals.

Finally add some wink of Stella to the Flowers

Life is Better with Friend Like You Greeting Card. Colour Combo Blog Hop June 2021

 Good Morning Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in the Colour Combo Blog Hop. I love the colour combo this month, it's bright and bold! keeping the design simple has helped me create such a fun card in super quick time - You could very easily switch up the colours and sentiment to create a card for any occasion.

Measurements

Soft Sea Foam Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

1pc - scrap

Poppy Parade Card Stock

1pc - 5 1/4" x 1 3/4"

Polished Pink Card Stock

1pc - 5 1/4" x 1 3/4"

Take the Soft Sea Foam and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the larger piece of basic white to the inside.

Add the two thin strips of card stock to the card front.

stamp two of the flowers in memento, then once dry colour in with blends  then fussy cut using the punch. Also do some leaves.

Take this fun sentiment and stamp onto scrap basic white, then cut out using the everyday label punch.

Add this to the cerebrate of the card front, then add the flowers and leaves popping a rhinestone top centre of them.

In Symmetry DSP Birthday Card. Stamp n Hop DSP Spotlight Blog Hop June 2021

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Saturday - I hope you are all well. 

Today I'm taking part in the Stamp n Hop monthly blog hop and we are putting our DSP into the spotlight this month. I have chosen to use the Sweet Symmetry DSP - It has to be one of my favourite papers in the Annual Catalogue. The style, design and colour combos are right up my street.

Here I have used a selection of the papers from my scrap pile to show the softer more subtle designs in the pack, and the simple sentiment is just fabulous on this card.

Measurements

Basic Black Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 2 1/8" x 2 1/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2" x 2"

Sweet Symmetry DSP

2pc - 3 7/8" x 1 3/8"

1pc - 3 7/8" x 2 5/8"

1pc - 5" x 1 5/8"

Just look at all these designs in the Pack - You could very easily use any of these designs to make this card work.

Take the Basic Black card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the larger piece of basic white to the inside.

Add the three strips of DSP that measure 3 7/8" to the card front. Place the larger piece in the centre and the two small strips to and bottom. Add the remaining strip of DSP to the card front so it runs down the card front approx 1 1/2" from the left.

Stamp the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink onto the last piece of basic white - layer this to the basic black square and add to the card front.

It's a simple card in design, but thanks to the wonderful paper designs and colours - it really is something special.

Garden Birdhouses Hello Greeting Card. Stampin Birds Weekly Challenge - CASE the Catalogue

 Good Morning Everyone,

Every week in our team group, we run a challenge - these challenges vary each week. This week we are CASEing the Catalogue.

Depending on who you speak to CASE can mean slightly different things. 

Copy And Share Everywhere - so this is literally making the card pretty much as the original design

Copy And Selectively Edit - this would be where you use the original as a base idea and then adapt it yourself, it will still have distinct similarities to the original but will seem different.

Plus there's a few interpretations in between - and to be quite honest any of them work - I have pretty much produced the same card as the catalgoue, just without the watercolouring effect and different sizing on my white panel. As you can see, even though I've stayed quite true to the design, it still looks different and it usually will.

This is the image from the catalogue that I decided to CASE.

Bumblebee Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Fold the Bumblebee card Stock along the score line. Take the bird images and stamp in Bumblebee ink. 

Add the larger piece of basic white to the inside.

On the next largest piece of basic white stamp the branches in Garden Green, Birdhouse in Misty Moonlight and the bird in Bumblebee to create a cute scene. Add this to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment in Misty Moonlight on the remaining piece of basic white, then layer onto the bumblebee card mat. Add this to the card front using dimensionals

It;s such a fab card, super simple and great to send just to say hello. You could very easily mix up the colours and the sentiment for completely different looks.

Sending Lots of Happy Snail Mail Easel Card. Stampin' Dreams Fun Fold Blog Hop June 2021

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I am taking part in the Stampin Dreams Blog Hop and we are showcasing Fun Folds.  I decided to use the fabulous Snail Mail DSP and Pretty Perennials stamp set to create a great Easel Card.

Basic White Card Stock

Snail Mail DSP

First of all layer all the pieces of  DSP onto the coordinating sized Real Red card stock mat.Now, stamp the image onto the 2 1/4" x 2 3/4" once dry, colour in with a selection of Stampin Blends and then layer onto the coordinating sized mat.

Take the Daffodil Delight  and score at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2". Fold the card in half along the 5 1/2", then open up the card and fold front the left towards the centre on the 2 3/4" score line and make sure you burnish both folds well. 

Hold the card in a portrait manner and add the two smaller panels to the base section, add the larger one with liquid glue, then the smaller one with dimensionals. Stack two dimensionals on top of each other to give some height. This will hold the card in it's easel shape. Make sure you don't go too far up with them on the top edge, as the top panel will need a little room to sit.

Next, add the largest panel to the bottom section of the card, making sure you only add adhesive to the bottom half of the panel. Otherwise you will stick the card together and it won't stand up well.

Turn the card around and add the last piece of whisper white to the section of the Daffodil Delight  Card stock section showing, this will give you somewhere to write a message.

Fussy Cut some images from the DSP and stamp the sentiments. Arrange these onto your card front sticking them down with a mix of liquid glue and dimensionals.
