Sketched Butterflies Thank You Card. Touches of Ink Blog Hop - April 2025

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in the Touches of Ink Blog Hop. We don't have a set theme but are encouraged to create using a suite or a bundle.

I've decided to use the Sketched Butterflies bundle, and as this doesn't have a coordinating DSP - I made my own. I stamped lots of Butterflies and then coloured the whole piece, this works perfectly to get a unique and bespoke colourway for you desired look. I went for Smoky Slate to keep the background muted and monotone so that the melon mambo really popped.

What do you think?

----------------------

Take the Basic Black card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding one of the basic white pieces to the inside.

On the remaining piece of Basic White cover it with the Butterflies using Memento black ink. Once dried colour in - I used my Smoky Slate Dark Blends for the Butterflies, then filled in the background with the light blend.

Add this piece to the card front.

Stamp the large butterfly and the cluster in memento and colour using Melon Mambo stampin blends.

Cut out the butterflies - only the large one comes with a die, so you will need to fussy cut the cluster)

Using your 2" circle punch cut out 2 circles from Basic White Card Stock, using your 2 3/8" circle punch cut out 1 circle in melon mambo and 1 in Basic Black.

Stamp the sentiment in memento to the right hand edge of one of the 2" basic white circles, then layer onto the 2 3/8" basic black.

Layer the remaining 2" circle onto the melon mambo 2 3/8" circle.

Now position the Thank you circle and have the melon mambo on the left and overlap slightly - adhere these both down flat.

Pop all the butterflies up on dimensionals. Add the large one the the melon mambo circle piece and position the others around the card front.

I really hope you enjoyed my card - I loved making it.

Please take a few minutes to continue through the hop. Simone is up next, so please head over to say Hi.
