Creative Clour Challenges - #CCC182

 Good Morning Everyone,

I'm really sorry this is late!

I run the Creative Colour Challenges blog. Each week three Stampin Up Colours are randomly selected and I ask you to create a projects using those colours! Some week's are easier than others - but what I do find is that there's a lot of inspiration given from those who participate, so I thought that on a Sunday, once I have announced the Winner of the Week's Challenge over on Creative Colour Challenges Blog, I'd hop on over here and share the entries with you in the hope that we can give everyone some more inspiration, and I will link to those I can (as anyone can enter, you don't have to have a blog or a website), so It's also my chance to share there work and show some support.

Sentimental Park Thank You Card. Monochromatic Highland Heather Insta Hop.

 Good Evening Everyone,

I'm working my way through a huge stack of projects I've created for various hops and challenges, but unfortunately I haven't been very good at sharing my projects over here - so I apologise for that and promise to do better going forward :) .

I made this card for the Highland Heather Monochromatic Insta Hop. I wanted a clean and simple look and using the Sentimental Park stamp set - I think I achieved it - and made a very pretty card.

What do you think?

Measurements

Highland Heather Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"]

1pc - 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"

------------------------

Take the Highland Heather card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.

Ink up the crosshatch stamp in Highland Heather ink and add a line of this stamp all around the edge of the card front.

On the remaining piece of Basic White, add the sentiment along the bottom edge in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Then using the leaf and flower outline images, centralise these in the remaining space - also using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Then 'Colour' in the flowers with Highland Heather ink and the solid stamp.

Add this panel to the card front.

Finally, colour in some Basic Rhinestones using your Highland Heather Stampin Blends and then add one to each of the flower centres.

I love how this card turned out, and the layout would work for many occasions, and look great in some many colour ways.

Sketched Butterflies Blended Panel Birthday Card. The Project Share Monochromatic Blog Hop. March 2025

 Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Saturday! Today I'm taking part in The Project Share Blog Hop and our theme this month is Monochromatic.

I decided to use Melon Mambo, it's one of my favourite colours but I don't think I've used it much recently.

I went for a Clean and Simple design, adding an ombre blended panel finished with soe of the Sketched Butterflies and a birthday sentiment.

What do you think?

Measurements

Melon Mambo Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

------------------------------

Take the Melon Mambo card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding one of the Basic White pieces to the inside.

On the remaining piece of Basic white mask off a vertical strip using Masking paper or post it notes. I just eye balled this, no measuring. I brought the panel in about 1/4" front the left and them made the section just a bit smaller than the width of my butterfly - yes, not very technical i know! haha.

Now, load up your blending brush with Memon Mambo ink and cover the section inside the the post it notes. as I wanted an ombre effect, I added more ink towards the bottom and used less towards the top - but you could just colour it solidly if you wished. Once happy with the blending remove the post it notes.

Make sure that the ink is completely dry and then add three butterflies down the blended panel. I placed the middle one pretty straight, then the other two and an angle to add a little extra interest.

Finally, ink up the sentiment and add to the bottom right hand corner.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - it was so much fun to create. It's a pretty simple design, which would work in so many colour ways and you could experiment with the images over the colour block.

Please take a few minutes to continue through the hop for some more Monochromatic inspiration. Click the button below to head on over to Verity's Blog.
