Petal Promenade Gift Bag using Stampin Up Products

Good Evening,

If you are familiar with Stampin Up you may know what an exciting weekend has just past!! If you are new... let me fill you in....

Twice a year (April & November) Stampin Up hold an event called On Stage.... this is run simultaneously through the countries that sell Stampin Up. Over the weekend Demonstrators get to see the new catalogue, participate in Prize Patrols, Create Make and Takes using new products and get the chance to do a pre pre-order!! Along with the above it is a great way to get connect, meet up with like minded folk and have a jolly old time.

As my due date is in 3 days time... I unfortunately couldn't attend , sad face :( . But I know all my fellow teamies and friends had a whale of a time and did share in out team group so I felt a part of it.

For those who didn't attend, in our group we did a little challenge to feel involved etc. Lynn arranged it all and we were to produce a project a little different to our usual - so those who usually make cards were encouraged to make a 3D project and vice versa.

Here's the project I came up with....

Measurements:

Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper
1pc -  12" x 5 3/4"
1pc - 4" x 4"

Scraps of Whisper White & Petal Pink for the Sentiment

Scrap of Vellum for the Flower

Take the largest piece of Petal Promenade DSP and score on the short side at 5 3/4". Then place the piece of DSP in the simply scored on the long side with the horizontal score line you just made running along the bottom. Put in full score lines at 1 1/2", 5 3/4", 7 1/4" & 11 1/2". Go back and add part score lines at 3/4" & 6 1/2". Run these score lines down to approx. 3 1/2" make, these will be in the centre of the side panels and help to give a crisper fold to the bag.

Fold and burnish all the full score lines, don't worry about the part score lines, these will fold on their own once you start to put the bag together. Using your snips, cut up all the score lines up to the horizontal score line. Notch into the square pieces to create tabs. Finally cut off the bottom right hand skinny rectangle completely away.See above for what your paper should look like.

Add the 4" x 4" piece of DSP to the large right hand panel. Then take some strong adhesive and add to the tabs as above. fold together to adhere the bag.

Pinch the bag together at the top, the should happen with ease due to the part score lines you put in earlier, then with a hole punch add two holes that go all the way through. Feed through some Tulle and tie a big bow.

Rub your vellum with the embossing buddy, then stamp the flower in versamark ink. sprinkle some silver embossing powder over the top and then gently tap off the excess.

Run your heat tool over the powder until it is set. You will know when this is done as it will turn from powder to a smooth shiny block. Make sure you keep moving the heat tool over the vellum, otherwise if left in one spot too long you can really warp the vellum, or even burn in.

Once this has cooled, fussy cut and then adhere to the front of the bag. I put some liquid glue behind the stamen and some slightly off to the right hand side. As vellum is opaque, you can usually see adhesive so you need to try and disguise it.

Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of whisper white, trim and then layer onto a piece of Petal Pink. Add dimensionals and place this on the bag, so it overlaps the flower slightly, therefore covering some of the visible glue.

Here's al lsit of the supplies I used in the project, click on the iages to head over to my online store.... don't forget some of these items will retire with the new catalogue on June - so make sure you get what you want whilst you still can.

Animal Outing Welcome Little One Card using Stampin Up Products

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are well on this fine Sunday Morning.

Today I have this cute card for you made using the Animal Expedition DSP and the Animal Outing Stamp Set. How sweet is that little image?

Measurements:-

Berry Burst Cardstock

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 5 7/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 2 5/8" x 3 7/8"

On the smallest piece of whisper white cardstock, stamp the image towards to bottom using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Above this stamp the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink. Put to on side to dry completely.

Take the largest piece of Berry Burst and create your card base by folding and burnishing the score line Add the DSP to the front and the whisper white panel to the inside.

Go back to your image once fully dried and colour in using Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate Blends and then layer onto the last piece of cardstock. Add this to the centre of the card front.

Place a rhinestone jewel either side of the sentiment and the card is all finished. I love a super quick and easy card, don't you?
