The Project Share Project - 25th January 2024

 Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Thursday and welcome to The Project Share Project. Every Thursday we will all share an individual blog post sharing one project from each of the other creators - maybe an inspiring card, a very fancy fun fold or simply a project that made us smile.

Verity Pursglove

Verity shared a technique this week which is ridiculously simple, yet incredibly effective. A beautiful Embossing folder, inks and some blending brushes can yield amazing results.  Here's the link which will take you to the blog post for more details on the card and to see some other colour combinations - https://inkybutterfly.com/2024/01/23/ink-blended-background-using-the-layered-florals-embossing-folder/

Softly Stippled Softly Sophisticated You're in My Thoughts Card. Smart Stampin International Insta Hop. January 2024

 Good Evening Everyone,

Last weekend I took part in the Smart Stampin International Insta Hop. Our theme for this hop was Sale-a-Bration.

I knew I wanted to use the Beautiful Softly Stippled DSP but I struggled to decide on one particular design, so thought - Hey, why not use lots of them! I had lots of scraps, so this card came together so easily!

Measurements

Pebbled Path Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

1pc - 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"

1pc - 3 1/8" x 2 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 3" x 2 3/4"

Softly Stippled DSP

7 strips of DSP at least 3 7/8" long

fussy cut roses

-------------------------------------------

Take the largest piece of Pebbled Path card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.

Very carefully rip along one edge of 6 strips, and both sides of the remaining strip.

Adhere the strips to the 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" piece of Pebbled Path card stock. I added one to the left, then one to the right and the layer them up working into the centre. Then add the piece with either side ripped to the centre. Trim off any overhanging edges and then add this panel to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment to the right hand side of the remaining piece of Basic White, then layer to the last piece of Pebbled path. Add this to the card front, centrally, but slightly towards the right with Dimensionals.

Decorate around this piece with the fussy cut flowers, I add some to sit over the sentiment panel and some to sit under the opposite side just to add some extra interest.

I hope you enjoyed my card today - I had great fun creating it. If you would like to see the rest of the hop, head on over to my Instagram page - click here  Vickie Lou Designs to  get some Sale-a-Bration inspiration.

Creative Colour Challenges - #124

 Good Evening Everyone,

As you may or may not know - I run the Creative Colour Challenges blog. Each week three Stampin Up Colours are randomly selected and I ask you to create a projects using those colours! Some week's are easier than others - but what I do find is that there's a lot of inspiration given from those who participate, so I thought that on a Sunday, once I have announced the Winner of the Week's Challenge over on Creative Colour Challenges Blog, I'd hop on over here and share the entries with you in the hope that we can give everyone some more inspiration, and I will link to those I can (as anyone can enter, you don't have to have a blog or a website), so It's also my chance to share there work and show some support.

I do hope to continue this as long as possible, with the entry numbers as they are now, this is something I'm happy to work on, but if by some amazing force,  the numbers grow in strength I may have to reassess how I do this!

Enduring Beauty Negative Colouring Simple Thank You Card. Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. January 2024

 Good Evening Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop and our theme is Jan-Apr Mini Catalogue/Sale-a-Bration - s basically any of our new goodies!

I'm using the Enduring Beauty stamp set for the millionth time because I absolutely LOVE it, but I've dialled my design way back and instead of colouring in all the image, I decided to colour the background or 'negative' space to add a dash of colour - keeping my card light and fresh, oh and super simple! The sentiment is from Filled with Happiness as I needed a Thank You card and I thought this font worked well.

Measurements

Basic Black Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" scored at 4 1/8"

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"

scrap

-------------------------------------

Take the Basic Black card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding one of the Basic White pieces to the inside.

Ink up the large floral image from Enduring Beauty in memento ink and cover the remaining piece of Basic White with it.

Once the ink has dried, take your Dark Pool Party Stampin Blend and colour in all the background or 'negative' space, so anywhere that isn't a leaf or a flower!!

Adhere this to the card front.

Run a scrap of basic white through your Mini Cut & Emboss Machine with the stitched label die from Enduring Dies.

Ink up the Thanks sentiment from Filled with Happiness stamp set and stamp it into the centre of the label. Add some Pool Party ink around the edges of the label with a blending brush.

Add this to the lower right hand side of the card front, finishing it off with a few rhinestones.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today, please take a minute or two to go through the list below and get lots of wonderful inspiration from these very talented ladies
