Enduring Beauty Happy Birthday Card. Stamp n Hop December Blog Hop

  Good Evening Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in the Stamp N Hop December Blog Hop and our theme is Shades of Colour - Colouring Techniques.

Anyone who knows me knows I absolutely love to colour so I was so excited when this theme came up. Although I how a pretty simple design, I'm sharing a few tips with the Enduring Beauty & Labeled with Love bundles.

Measurements

Basic Black Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - scraps

-----------------------------------

Take the larger piece of Basic Black and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the piece of Basic White to the inside.

Use the cross hatch print Embossing folder fro the basic embossing folder set to add detail to the smaller piece of Basic Black. Add this to the card front.

On a scrap stamp the large floral cluster in memento black ink. Once it is dry, take your Stampin Blends and colour in the flowers with Melon Mambo blends and the leaves with Shaded Spruce,

Cut this out using the coordinating die and your Stampin Cut & Emboss machine.

Now, take your Black Stampin Write marker, and colour in the remaining 'white space'. Add this onto the card front, slightly off to the left.

You will now see that you just see the flowers, stems and leaves now, so there is no white space to attract the eye away fro the detail, and you haven't had to spend a lot of time and concentration on fussy cutting.

Next, stamp the sentiment and the outline label image from the Labeled with Love stamped set onto another scrap and cut out using the punch or die. This is pretty and elegant left as it is, but I wanted a clean and simple, unfussy look, so take your Stampin Write marker in black and 'colour' in around all the edges to Create a solid black outline - this replicates the look of a mat layer.

Add this to the card front down to the lower right.

I really enjoyed creating this card today, please take a look at the list below and continue through the hop

Choose Happy Greeting Cards. The Project Share Project CASE the Catalogue Blog Hop. December 2024

 Good Morning Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in this months Project Share Project Blog Hop and our theme for December is 'CASEing the Catalogue'.

The catalgoue is full of inspirational project ideas and a great creative resource.

CASEing is another great wat to create by using another project to 'Copy' or use as a inspiring start to your project.

I've used the Choose Happy stamp set which is full of lovely small element stamps including this sweet flower outline. I decided to use the sample card in the catalgoue as a guide and I adjusted it slightly - changing to card orientation and switching up the colours.

what do you think?

Measurements

Melon Mambo  Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 4 7/8" 3 1/4"

1pc - 4 3/4" 3 1/8"

-------------------------------------

Take the Melon Mambo card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.

Ink up the flower image in Melon Mambo and stamp a few flower in the top left and bottom right.

Clean off the stamp and then ink it up in memento black ink and on the smallest piece of Basic White stamp the images to create a sort of rough diagonal line.

Once the ink is dry colour in the leaves with your Shaded Spruce Stampin Blends and add some Melon Mambo to the inside of the Petals, colouring in the centre of the flowers with Daffodil Delight.

Ink up the 'Choose' in Shaded Spruce and the 'Gratitude' in Melon Mambo and add below some of the flowers.

Layer this to the remaining piece of Basic White Card Stock and add to the centre of the card front.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today. Please take a few minutes to continue through the hop and check out what the other fabulous ladies have created today - Jayne is up next, click on the button below to head over to her blog.

The Project Share Project - 5th December 2024

 Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Thursday and welcome to The Project Share Project. Every Thursday we will all share an individual blog post sharing one project from each of the other creators - maybe an inspiring card, a very fancy fun fold or simply a project that made us smile.

Verity Pursglove

Verity shared a couple of cards she created earlier this week. It's a simple yet very effective idea - she has stamped the Thanks Sentiment repeatedly down a strip of card in colours from the same colour family! It gives a great rainbow effect as a background panel. Click on the link which will take you to the blog post for more details on the card -https://inkybutterfly.com/2024/12/03/colour-family-thank-you-cards/

Heather Forgan

Heather has used this week's Creative Colour Challenges combo and the Hearts of Elegance bundle to create a fabulously sweet card. Check out her blog to see how she made it.

Finally we have Jayne, who created these fabulous Gift Packs decorated with the A Little Bit Festive DSP. These are super easy to make and are a great way to gift a little chocolate treat. Head over to her blog for all the details
