The Project Share Project - 28th November 2024

 Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Thursday and welcome to The Project Share Project. Every Thursday we will all share an individual blog post sharing one project from each of the other creators - maybe an inspiring card, a very fancy fun fold or simply a project that made us smile.

Verity Pursglove

Verity shared this stunning card and it just screams traditional Christmas! The Robins are coloured beautifully and sit in in front of a fab foliage background, the two tones give great depth.  Click on the link which will take you to the blog post for more details on the card -https://inkybutterfly.com/2024/11/19/seasons-greetings-with-the-winterly-treetops-bundle/

Cheerful Daisies Happy Birthday Card - Creative Colour Challenges #CCC168

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm sharing a card I made for Creative Colour Challenges #CCC168. I did make this last week in plenty of time to post into the challenge when it was live, but life got in the way and I didn't get the chance - so i thought i'd post it here anyway, I think its a lovely card that should be shared! haha

I absolutely love the mix of Pecan Pie, Lemon Lolly and Crumb Cake. I've used the Cheerful Daisies Bundle, but with these colours these flowers look a little like sunflowers rather than daisies.

What do you think?

Measurements

Pecan Pie Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Crumb Cake Card Stock

1pc - 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"

1pc -scrap

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

1pc - 3 1/2" x 5 1/4"

1pc - scrap

-----------------------------------------

Take the Pecan Pie card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Ink up the leaf image in Pecan Pie ink and cover the whole of the card front. Make sure you cover the edges well as that is what will be seen as the middle will be covered with the next layer.

Add the larger piece of Basic White card stock to the inside.

On the remaining piece of Basic White stamp the flowers to cover the full piece. I used Pecan Pie for the outline and the centres and Lemon Lolly for the petals.

Layer this to the Crumb Cake mat and then add to the centre of the card front.

Cut out a Hexagon from Crumb Cake card stock using the Heartfelt Hexagon punch and then using a blending brush add some ink around the edges.

Bring in your Stampin Cut & Emboss machine and cut of the label shape from the Cheerful Dies.

Stamp the sentiment into the centre in Pecan Pie ink. Add this to the Hexagon punch out. it fits perfectly edge to edge, so take a bit of time to get it line up well.

Add this to the card front with dimensionals.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - I had a lot of fun creating it. I love the design with these colours, but I think it would work with so many other combinations.

If you would like more information on how the challenge works, or would like to join in with the current combination - head over to my blog - Creative Colour Challenges

Beautiful Boho Blue Sketched Butterflies Birthday Card

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm sharing a card I made a while back, but have only just got around to sharing it - it was on a pile of cards that I seem to have overlooked!

It's a very simple design, and would be a great layout to keep at hand to create a lovely card quickly and easily. The Sketched Butterflies look very pretty in Boho Blue.

Measurements

Basic Gray Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Boho Blue Card Stock

2pc - 1 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Gray Granite Card Stock

Scrap

Very Vanilla Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8"x 3 7/8"

1pc - scrap

----------------------------------------

Take the Basic Gray card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the Very Vanilla piece to the inside.

Ink up a smaller butterfly image in Boho Blue and cover both strips of Boho Blue card stock with it. I did this very randomly, with a little overlapping as I felt the strips were a little thin to space them out.

Add both these panels to the card front, making sure you leave even borders all around - i found it best to use liquid glue for this as it gave me a smidge of time to make adjustments if needed.

On the Scrap of Gray Granite stamp the largest butterfly image using Boho Blue ink and cut out using the coordinating die and you Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

Using the 2 3/8" circle punch cut out a circle from a scrap of Very Vanilla Card Stock and stamp the sentiment in Gray Granite ink towards the lower right side, then add some of the small butterfly cluster and then add some Gray Granite ink to the edges with your blending brush.

Add the circle into the lower right hand side and then position the large butterfly at a slight angle towards the top left of the circle, overlapping it slightly, stick it down with a dimensional into the centre of the body only, then gently tease up the wings to give a little depth.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today - I loved creating this card - it's more overly complicated but looks very nice to send. This combination is great, but would look awesome using lots of other colour combos.
