Creative Colour Challenges - #159

  Good Evening Everyone,

As you may or may not know - I run the Creative Colour Challenges blog. Each week three Stampin Up Colours are randomly selected and I ask you to create a projects using those colours! Some week's are easier than others - but what I do find is that there's a lot of inspiration given from those who participate, so I thought that on a Sunday, once I have announced the Winner of the Week's Challenge over on Creative Colour Challenges Blog, I'd hop on over here and share the entries with you in the hope that we can give everyone some more inspiration, and I will link to those I can (as anyone can enter, you don't have to have a blog or a website), so It's also my chance to share there work and show some support.

I do hope to continue this as long as possible, with the entry numbers as they are now, this is something I'm happy to work on, but if by some amazing force,  the numbers grow in strength I may have to reassess how I do this!

Attention Shoppers Bright & Beautiful Just for You Card.

 Good Evening Everyone,

Today I'm sharing a quick a simple card which looks fabulous. Using an outline image stamped onto some striped DSP gives a great interest panel on a card and it's a super quick way to add some extra detail.

I've used the Bright & Beautiful DSP along with the outline cake image from Attention Shoppers stamp set - what do you think?

Measurements

Berry Burst Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

scraps

Pretty Peacock Card Stock

scrap

Lemon Lolly Card Stock

1pc - 2 5/8" x 5 1/2"

Bright & Beautiful DSP

1pc - 2 1/2" x 5 3/8"

----------------------------------

Take the Berry Burst Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the Basic White piece to the inside.

Ink up the Outline Cake image from Attention Shoppers stamp set in Memento ink and cover the whole piece of DSP.

Layer this to the Lemon Lolly card stock and add to the card front, setting it to the left, making sure you have an even border along the left, top & bottom edges.

Now, stamp a cake onto a scrap of basic white then colour in with Bubble Bath & Daffodil Delight stampin blends. Fussy cut, or use the coordinating die and pop to one side.

On another piece of scrap Basic White stamp the sentiment in Memento black and cut out using the 2" circle punch. Cut a circle from a scrap of Pretty Peacock using the 2 3/8" circle punch and layer together.

Add the sentiment and the cake to the card front using dimensionals. Position them off to the right, overlapping some of the DSP panel.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - I really enjoyed making it. This layout is great for all sorts of card and I think I will definitely be using it again soon with some different colours, papers and sentiments!

Here's a list of supplies I used in today's project, click on the images to head over to my online store Product List
