Sending Cheer Chrismas Card and Gift Box. Touches of Ink Blog Hop December 2023.

 Good Evening Everyone!

Today I'm taking part in the last Touches of Ink Blog Hop of 2023! I can't actually believe I'm actually saying that! Each month we hop along and share projects made focusing our creating around a bundle or a suite - so there's no set theme.

I'm using the Sending Cheer Bundle to create a coordinating set to gift - a 4x4" card and a cute little gift box. It's a very simple lidded gift box, that measures - 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1" and I've decorated it with the lovely one of the presents, adding some more of the presents to the card front.

What do you think?

To CREATE TO BOX.

Take the Base card stock and score as follows:-

Long Side - 1/2", 3", 4" & 6 1/2"

Short Side - 4 1/2"

Fold and burnish all the score lines well, the holding the card horizontal, with the single score line towards the bottom. cut up all the score lines and notch into the squares to create tabs. Remove the thin rectangle and notch in the long thin rectangle. Like this -

Take the four Pieces of Gray Granite and with Gray Granite ink stamp the three sentiments randomly to create a tone on tone background. Add all the stamped panels to the card...

Add some adhesive onto the thin tab, fold round and adhere to the opposite side, fold in the bottom and glue down to create the base.

Take the remaining piece of Basic Black and score on all 4 sides at 1", cut into all the squares to create tabs.

Fold and adhere these to create the lid. Place this on top of the open box.

Bring in your Cut & Emboss Machine and cut out the ribbon and bow shape four times - twice in Parakeet Party and Twice in Old Olive.

Stamp four of the present images onto a scrap of Basic White  I used Starry Sky, Sweet Sorbet and Tahitian tide. Also Stamp the 'For You' Sentiment in Starry Sky twice and trim down.

Add the ribbon die cuts to each present.

Place one of the presents and one sentiment onto the front of your box. Make sure the lid is on and add is centrally between the bottom of the box and the bottom edge of the lid - otherwise it make look a bit off.

TO CREATE THE CARD

Take the Basic Black Card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the Basic White piece to the inside.

Ink up the three sentiments in Gray Granite and stamp all over the Gray Granite card stock, as you did above. I chose to do these in straight lines, rather than random to make then look slightly different.

Add this to the card front.

Take the remaining sentiment and three presents and arrange on the card front.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today - I really enjoyed making it! Please take a few minutes to continue through the hop - there will be lots of amazing inspiration. Do start with Sabine's blog

Creative Colour Challenges - #118

 Good Evening Everyone,

As you may or may not know - I run the Creative Colour Challenges blog. Each week three Stampin Up Colours are randomly selected and I ask you to create a projects using those colours! Some week's are easier than others - but what I do find is that there's a lot of inspiration given from those who participate, so I thought that on a Sunday, once I have announced the Winner of the Week's Challenge over on Creative Colour Challenges Blog, I'd hop on over here and share the entries with you in the hope that we can give everyone some more inspiration, and I will link to those I can (as anyone can enter, you don't have to have a blog or a website), so It's also my chance to share there work and show some support.

I do hope to continue this as long as possible, with the entry numbers as they are now, this is something I'm happy to work on, but if by some amazing force,  the numbers grow in strength I may have to reassess how I do this!

The Project Share Project - 7th December 2023

  Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Thursday and welcome to The Project Share Project. Every Thursday we will all share an individual blog post sharing one project from each of the other creators - maybe an inspiring card, a very fancy fun fold or simply a project that made us smile.

Verity Pursglove

Verity shared a Christmas card design using the Joy to You stamp set and it's fabulous. I love the gold embossing and Dazzle paper!  Here's the link which will take you to the blog post for more details on the card - https://inkybutterfly.com/2023/12/05/more-cards-using-the-joy-to-you-stamp-set/

Creative Colour Challenges - #117

  Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Monday! I know this is a little late, I had a tricky time getting two little kiddies down to bed last night and then I ran into internet issues! But, as they say 'Better late than never? Right?

Merry & Bright Christmas Cards - Batch Making a Stack. The Project Share Project Blog Hop December 2023

 Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Saturday!

Today i'm taking part in The Project Share Project Blog Hop - we share weekly, but once a month we all create something Brand New and do a little hop to share with you all. This month or theme is Winter/Christmas - which was a welcome theme as i am So behind with my Christmas Crafting!

With that in mind I've designed a super simple card using the Merry & Bright DSP and the Sending Cheer Bundle, which is perfect for Batch making - all the steps are relatively straight forward and if you do multiples of each stage as you get to them then created a huge stack of these can be done in no time. Plus, the beauty of the DSP and Stamp design means you do not scrimp on quality of design to get those numbers up!

I'm just showing the Santa Hat Version, but there's a stocking and a present which would also look fabulous!

Measurements

Thick Basic White

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

scraps

Balmy Blue Card Stock

scrap

Real Read Card Stock

scrap

Merry & Bright DSP

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

------------------------------------------------------

Take the Thick basic white card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the DSP to the card front.

Using the Sending Cheer Dies and yoru Cut & Emboss machine cut out the following

Santa Hat - Real Red card

Santa hat fluff - Basic White Card

Label/Tag - Balmy Blue

Piece together the Santa hat and add some wink of stella to the white pieces.

Add this along with the tag cut out in the centre of the card front, but over to the left.

On scraps of Basic White stamp the sentiment blocks with different bright colours and them just trim down. Add the To You and Yours right at the top, then add the rest to fill the right hand side.

Super Simple right! To batch these easily, all you need to do is break all the steps down and when cutting or sticking do multiples at once. So, cut all your card bases first, cut all the DSP panels, then fold all the bases, stick all the DSP down, do all the die cutting at once and the stamping etc.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today! Please take a moment to continue through the hop and check out what the other ladies have created today - you are sure to get some great Christmas crafting inspiration. Click below to head over to Jayne's Blog.
