Good Afternoon Everyone,
Today I'm taking part in the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop and our colour this week is Mossy Meadow. I love this deep, dark tone of Green and it's a pretty versatile colour.
I've used the You are Remarkable Stamp set & Labeled with Love bundle to create a lovely birthday card - keep reading to see how I made the background. It's quick & easy and a great way to add texture to your card.

----------------------------
Take the Mossy Meadow card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add one of the Basic White pieces to the inside.
Bring in you Simply Scored ( or you could use your trimmer - I just found it easy and quicker in the score board).
Line up the remaining larger piece of Basic White into the top left corner, the score all the way across every 1/4". The Rotate the card stock 90degrees and score along this length at 1/4" again. This gives a very tight grid effect.
Flip the card over so the score lines are raised, then using your blending brush cover the whole piece with Mossy Meadow ink. I wanted to create lighter and darker sections, so in some places I added more ink than others.
Once happy with the coverage, I added this panel to the card front.
Ink up the flower from You are Remarkable in Mossy Meadow ink and stamp into the centre of the 2 1/2" x 3 7/8" piece of Basic White, then colour the stem and leaves with the dark Mossy Meadow Stampin Blends.
Layer this to the Mossy Meadow Mat layer and add it the card front. I sat mine slightly off to the left, I put in two squares from the left and had 3 squares top and bottom - yes, I know - a very technical measurement haha).
On the scrap of Basic White stamp the outline image and sentiment in Mossy Meadow, then cut out using the coordinating punch or die (depending on which you have). Then take the dark Mossy Meadow Stampin Blend and colour around the edges up to the stamped border. This gives the illusion of a matting layer, without the bulk and it means the border is perfectly equal all the way round. To soften the white a little, I used my blending brush to add a little colour to the cut out.
Pop the sentiment up on dimensionals and add to the card front.
I hope you have enjoyed my card today - I loved creating it! If you have a minute of too - why not head over to my Instagram page to check out the hop. You are sure to find a whole host of inspiration using Mossy Meadow
