Thank you so much Layering Leaves Enduring Beauty card.

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm sharing a card I made using last week's Creative Colour Challenges combo - but I never got a chance to get it written up and entered! I adored the combination of Balmy Blue, Shaded Spruce and Daffodil Delight. I immediately knew I wanted to use the Enduring Beauty floral image! I used some of the Beautiful Bokeh DSP to include the Balmy Blue element - and I'm so happy with how it turned out.

Measurements

Shaded Spruce Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

scraps

Beautiful Bokeh DSP

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

-----------------------------------

Take the Shaded Spruce card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the Basic White card to the inside. Placing the Beautiful Bokeh DSP on the card front.

On a scrap of Basic White card stock stamp the large floral image from Enduring Beauty in Memento ink. Once the ink is fully dried the colour in the leaves with Shaded Spruce and the Flowers in Daffodil Delight.

Bring in your Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine and cut out the image using the coordinating dies. Also cut out a label shape from a scrap of Basic White.

Stamp the sentiment from Layering Leaves in Shaded Spruce into the centre of the label, and pop to one side for later.

Now with your Balmy Blue Stampin Write Marker 'fill' in all the white space on the floral image. There's a few spaces in and amongst the flowers and leaves, and be sure to colour around the edges too. This won't make the solid die cut stamp out and will help the image look as though it is on the background.

Add both the floral piece and the sentiment label to the card front using dimensionals.

Creative Colour Challenges - #CCC177

 Good Evening Everyone,

As you may or may not know - I run the Creative Colour Challenges blog. Each week three Stampin Up Colours are randomly selected and I ask you to create a projects using those colours! Some week's are easier than others - but what I do find is that there's a lot of inspiration given from those who participate, so I thought that on a Sunday, once I have announced the Winner of the Week's Challenge over on Creative Colour Challenges Blog, I'd hop on over here and share the entries with you in the hope that we can give everyone some more inspiration, and I will link to those I can (as anyone can enter, you don't have to have a blog or a website), so It's also my chance to share there work and show some support.

Heartfelt Hexagon Sketched Butterflies Sending Love Card. Creative Colour Challenges - #175

 Good Evening Everyone,

Today I'm sharing a card I made a couple of week's ago for Creative Colour Challenges. I love this combination of Shy Shamrock, Pecan Pie and Melon Mambo - although I did find it tricky at first to get a concept together.

Sometimes when you have a colour challenge, an idea just comes to you - which is brilliant. Other times it requires a little more brain power to figure out how they are going to work together.

Every time I have a colour challenge, I take out a scrap of card stock in the colours, lay then on my desk and pull out some stamp sets to see what could work - if I have any paper packs with those colours I may bring them out too.

I really wasn't sure where to go with this combination, although I love all the colours - so I did my usual and pulled out scraps of card, then saw the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set (which is on the last chance list - so an ideal opportunity to get it inked up a little more). I thought i could put a sample of each colour onto my card using the outline from Heartfelt Hexagons, but there's not many images to fit the punch out vertically, but this cute butterfly from Sketched Butterflies worked perfect!

And there you go, I really nice Clean & Simple Card, using scraps! And a little detail on how my process works!

what do you think of the finished card?

Measurements

Thick Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Pecan Pie Card Stock

1pc - scrap

Shy Shamrock Card Stock

1pc - scrap

Melon Mambo Card Stock

1pc - scrap

-----------------------------------------------------

Take the Thick Basic White card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base.

Ink up the outline border stamp from Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set and stamp three times, once on each of the coloured card scraps. Add a butterfly from Sketched Butterflies to the centre of each and then cut them all out.

Arrange then on the card front, leaving enough space in the bottom right hand corner to add the sentiment from Heartfelt Hexagons in Memento ink.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - I love a super quick card and this certainly is that! It looks great in this combination - but I can only imagine the many possibilities that would work.

Here's a list of supplies I used in today's project, click on the images to head over to my online store  - Don't forget that the Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp set is on our Last Chance list and won't be around much longer - be sure to get it whilst you can. Product List
