Creative Colour Challenges - #136

  Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Monday! I know this is a little late, I had a tricky time getting two little kiddies down to bed last night and then I ran into internet issues! But, as they say 'Better late than never? Right?

As you may or may not know - I run the Creative Colour Challenges blog. Each week three Stampin Up Colours are randomly selected and I ask you to create a projects using those colours! Some week's are easier than others - but what I do find is that there's a lot of inspiration given from those who participate, so I thought that on a Sunday, once I have announced the Winner of the Week's Challenge over on Creative Colour Challenges Blog, I'd hop on over here and share the entries with you in the hope that we can give everyone some more inspiration, and I will link to those I can (as anyone can enter, you don't have to have a blog or a website), so It's also my chance to share there work and show some support.

Hello Ladybug 'You can Bug Me Anytime' Greeting Card. Stamp n Hop April 2024 Hop - CASE the Catalogue

 Good Evening Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in the Stamp n Hop blog Hop and for April our theme is 'Case the Catalogue'.

I decided to case a card made using the Hello Ladybug stamp set and punch. It's from page 58 of the current catalogue and I've pretty much copied the design like for like for like, except I switched up the colours of the background and I stamped the ladybug wings.

Measurements

Basic Black Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 /4", scored at 4 1/8"

1pc - scrap

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc- 5 5/8" x 3 5/8"

scraps

----------------------------------------------------------

Take the Basic Black card stock and fold along the score line to create the card base, adding the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.

Stamp the selection of images onto the remaining piece of Basic White.

I stamped -

1 leaf in Shaded Spruce

1 leaf in Parakeet Party

1 flower in Lemon Lolly

a few flowers in Bubble Bath.

Add adhesive and stick to the front of your card base.

On a scrap of Basic White stamp the wings in Real Red and add the dots with Memento Black Ink. Cut out the wings and a ladybug body using the Ladybug Builder Punch. and glue them together.

Place this on the card front, pretty centrally and at a slight angle, near to stems of the leaves.

Stamp the sentiment in Memento onto a strip of Basic White and trim if required. Add banner tails to either side and then add to your card front towards the bottom right

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - Please take a few  minutes to continue through the hop for some more inspiration

Stippled Roses Sending Thanks Joy Fold Card. Touches of Ink Blog Hop April 2024

 Good Evening Everyone,

Happy Wednesday. I hope you are all well.

Today I'm blog hopping with the fabulous Touches of Ink ladies. As always, we don;t have a set theme, but are encouraged to focus on a Suite or a Bundle. I've chosen to use the gorgeous Stippled Roses stamp set to create a really easy Joy Fold Card. This has to be one of my most favourite folds - like I said super easy, not that many supplies or measurements to work with but you get a great finished product!

Measurements

Lost Lagoon Card Stock

1pc - 3 7/8" x 8 7/8", scored at 3 7/8"

1pc - 7 1/2" x 3", score at 3 3/4"

Very Vanilla Card Stock

2pc - 3 7/8" x 2 5/8"

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

2pc - 3 1/2" x 2 3/4"

1pc - scrap

------------------------------------------

Firstly take all the Very Vanilla Card Stock except 1pc of 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" and cover with the large floral image and Gray Granite ink - also stamp an image onto a scrap of Very Vanilla. Colour all the pieces in with Stampin Blends. I chose Bubble Bath for the Flowers and Granny Apple Green for the Leaves.

Take the larger piece of Lost Lagoon Card Stock and fold along the score line.

Add the larger piece of Stamped card to the inside of the card, then add the 2 5/8" pieces - on to the left of the larger piece Stamped Card and the other to the front of that piece as well.

Fold and burnish the remaining piece of Lost Lagoon card stock and hold it so the fold is to the right hand side. Add the stamped Very Vanilla Card to the front and  add the plain Very Vanilla piece to the inside, on the left. Keep the fold to the right as if you are giving a 'Backward' Card.

Add this smaller card to the larger piece of decorated card stock. Only adhering the back piece to the DSP keeping the fold to the right. Fold in the small flap, and have the larger flap fro the right sitting over the top.

Fussy cut the stamped image from the scrap you did earlier - cutting only the three larger flower heads and then overlay this directly above the exact image on the front of the card with dimensionals.

On a scrap stamp the sentiment in Gray Granite and the cut out using the smooth oval from the double oval punch and also cut a scallop oval from Lost Lagoon card. Layer these together and add below the 3D image piece.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card and will have a go yourself - it definitely looks harder than it is. Now Head on over to see what Sandra has created...
